This is an amazing laptop! Beautiful screen
This is an amazing laptop! Beautiful screen, great battery life, fast and sleek looking! The only issue is I feel the pen doesn't work with as many apps as I thought it would. That's on HP's end though. Other than that, its amazing!

5 Star Proudct, 2 Star Listing (CONFUSING)
The listing of this product was, and still remains as of this writing, VEERRYY confusing. I don't know where to place the blame for this, and I suspect that is exactly what the Amazon Marketplace wants as far as computers are concerned (keep reading for more on that down the line). I ordered this on the basis of it being listed with an August 20th, 2018 release date because I wanted the newest version. After placing my order, however, I came back out of sheer curiosity the next day and scanned over other areas of the listing's specs and let me just say - WHOA.From the initial description on the product, to the Q&A section, to the several different spec lists, to the Amazon reviews themselves; there are so many contradictions as well as information that is just plain wrong about the product (or at least the one that ended up at my door, the 15-ch011dx w/ 512 GB SDD) that I find the prospect of trying to list them all in this review absolutely stifling. *DEEP INHALE* Let's begin:Example number one: there is a section that says the 16 GB RAM on-board is rated at 2400 mhz (see columns on the opposite side to the release date), but per the product I actually received, this was simply not true. It is in fact 2133 mhz (which is fine for my needs, but still). Also in some areas the RAM is described as DDR4 (which mine ended up accurately being), and then in another area of this same listing it's described as DDR3. One last example, the listed item model number is not T8TJG (not even close). The actual model number of the product I received is 2LV24UA.Then there's the reviews, people saying they didn't receive a pen - I did. Saying they didn't get the 2018 (they claim to have received the 2017) model - I did. At this point I'm like, okay, what in the world is going on?Sure enough, after peering into other pc listings on Amazon I drew the conclusion that my experience appears to be symptomatic of Amazon either getting super lazy about holding seller's accountable and or has intentionally designed the marketplace to confuse and exhaust consumers into potentially paying for things they quite genuinely do not want. I have no idea how things got this bad or if they have always been as such. Is it maybe an Amazon cross-listing problem of not allowing new model year product's their own review section? Over the years I've seen many more extreme examples of different items in various different departments housing reviews for products that are in almost no way the same under a single product listing. Dubya-tee-eff, mates? Is it the result of sellers mixing up some of their shipments due to high volume? Seriously, the mind boggles.Anyway, I'm cutting the seller some slack for now with the four star rating. My reasoning for this is that the product I received is in fact the 2018 15-ch011dx (although it seems the 15-ch011nr has identical or nearly identical specs according to hp's website) model I was after. Stressing the fact that I looked at other PC listings it's hard for me to say this issue isn't symptomatic of Amazon's lax listing standards & or policies. There could also be some fault on the part of manufacturer's themselves for not having more user-friendly ways of marketing their products. The specs also even seem to vary depending on the product's country of origin (Australia's model has an i7-8705G vs the i7-8550U here, the lucky buggers).MY ADVICE FOR NAVIGATING THIS MESS:If you are browsing Amazon with Windows, press Ctrl + F to search for KEY WORDS/SPECS OF INTEREST TO YOU on product listings (sorry Mac users, I'm not sure what the command is for you guys, but I now you have one). Do this with as many listings as you need to feel comfortable before buying. If you're still not satisfied, I recommend also comparing products on Amazon to CNET reviews and or the spec lists directly from the manufacturer's website. It's annoying because this process almost always leads to having multiple tabs open to compare and refer back to, but it's the best I could personally come up with.Good luck!!

Five Stars
The product arrived on time and was packaged exquisitely. The laptop flies so far performance wise and looks gorgeous! I ran some benchmark tests and all hit the expected threshold. Were in love with how exotic and clear the 4K screen looks, all in all an excellent buy! Id also like to mention the 3 year McAfee Internet Security antivirus addition, excellent value, i think it costs $100 odd if bought separately so to have it included free with this laptop was really inspiring.

I am returning it. Loud coil whine. READ THIS BEFORE YOU BUY
**I work in IT. I know my way around a computer**The product description needs to be more descriptive about what you are and are not getting. There is no included pen, no fingerprint sensor, and no numberpad. Don't get fooled by all the pictures that show a pen and numberpad! Its pretty much the 2017 model with the updated CPU.I am returning it because I was under the impression I was getting a different product and the CPU coil whine is maddening. It gets louder every time I use the mouse-pad or the CPU is under a little load. It also changes pitch when the PC is plugged in or unplugged. Most computers have a little whine or buzz but this was loud enough I could here it over the fans and sometimes over my TV. It is not the speakers I went though all the trouble shooting to make sure that was not the problem.I will update this review if I return it or keep it.

Fast and lean, fantastic system.
I love this system. Granted with the super lean profile you have to get some adaptations...a USB hub, a dock to support a wired network connection and an external DVD. But this thing is light and lean, super convenient and pretty powerful in its own right. I bought the drop/spill perfection program to be safe. Highly recommended product.
