Good Price - Good Product - Here are the Details:
The media could not be loaded. I took the chance on this safe with so few reviews, but I figure I can help out potential future buyers by giving you a lot of the details that may be important for your consideration:Overall:- Definitely worth the price if you’re looking for a safe that is easy to install between studs and not have to make major renovations or carry an 800 lb safe into your house. I would definitely recommend the safe for most purposes (handguns, cash, gold, jewelry, etc). If you’re looking to keep multiple rifles or even a single long rifle over like 40” in a safe, you’ll need something bigger.Impressive Details:- The front door is made from what feels like solid steel that is almost 3/16” thick. For the price range and the application, I think it honestly decent. It doesn’t take up too much internal space, but it is thick enough to be formidable.- The 3 locking bars are each over 3/4" in diameter. They don’t appear to be solid steel, but they are plenty strong for the application.- The safe includes two key hanging areas – may not be useful for everyone but I thought it was a nice touch.- The shelf height is not adjustable, but the shelves are removable. The shelves are held in place with thumb screws, which is a great feature because the shelves don’t move when loading and unloading things from the safe.- The safe comes pre-installed with neoprene bumpers on the internal corners in order to keep the metal-to-metal contact limited when closing the safe.- One of the big concerns with safes is the hinge mechanism. The hinge structure seems to be good enough for the weight of the door. Fillet welded in 3 places with no obvious signs of cracking.Things to know:- In America, studs are spaced 16” on center which means that the space between the studs is 14.5”. The dimension of the safe that slides between the studs is actually closer to 13.875” which could be good news if you have some concerns about whoever framed in your house, but you will need a spacer prior to lagging it into the wall. I ripped a .625” thick piece of a 2x4 and secured that to one of the studs prior to installation. Worked like a charm and it is very tight.- For those trying to conceal this safe behind something: the installed thickness of the safe off of the wall is .4” to the exterior rim, .8” from the wall to the base of the keypad and just over 1” from the wall to the tip of the lock/unlock handle.

Excellent Safe – Secure, Sturdy, and Easy to Use!
I recently purchased this safe, and I’m extremely satisfied with my decision. The build quality is solid, providing a great level of security for my valuables. The locking mechanism works flawlessly, whether using the digital keypad or the backup key. Setup was straightforward, and the instructions were clear.I also appreciate the compact yet spacious design—it fits perfectly in my home without taking up too much space. The interior is well-padded, adding extra protection for delicate items. Additionally, the safe is quite heavy, which gives me peace of mind knowing that it’s not easy to move.Overall, this safe offers excellent security and convenience at a great price. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable and durable safe for home or office use!

Nice look and feels solid
Very nice safe. Good size. Easy to input codes and key locks work fine. I like that you have the option of keys and the buttons are push buttons and not screen buttons.

Good safe for the home - but the packaging...
Nice safe. Good size. Like the mute function on the keypad. Feel safe knowing it has a key back-up as well as a battery pack backup to open it in case the batteries die. Seems sturdy. There are two holes in the back and if not hidden or secured to the wall or bolted down it could be stolen and possibly cut open? But it's good for a home safe to secure documents and a stash of cash. The bolts on the door closure are large and sturdy. (Be aware the fire proof bag is pretty tiny. I expected it to be letter size. It's more like a coin purse.lol) Good price as well. The only reason I left a star off is:What idiot decided that writing "SAFE BOX" on the side of the box this is shipped in was a good idea? Like let's alert the entire apartment complex to the fact that this person has valuables they want to lock up ...?!?Not the smartest packaging I've ever seen. Hopefully someone from Amazon will read this and change that for anyone who purchases it in the future. But as far as the product goes - it really seems like a good little safe. I'll update if necessary.

A Hilariously Ineffective Fortress of Folly!
Hold onto your valuables, folks, because GHJGAGE 1.6 Home Safe is here to give you a false sense of security like never before! If you're in the market for a safe that could make a burglar laugh uncontrollably, look no further.Let's start with the design. I must admit, this safe managed to accomplish the unthinkable: it made me nostalgic for the era of VCRs and shoulder pads. With its clunky, outdated appearance, it practically screams, "Hey, thieves! Look at me! I'm the easiest target in the neighborhood!" Who needs a state-of-the-art, sleek safe when you can have a relic from a bygone era? Now, let's move on to the security features. Or should I say lack thereof? Opening this "fortress" was about as challenging as solving a children's puzzle made for toddlers. Seriously, I've seen more secure piggy banks in preschool classrooms. I half expected the safe to come with a neon sign saying, "Please, take what you want and have a good laugh while you're at it!"But wait, there's more! The so-called "advanced locking mechanism" is nothing short of a comedy act. I've had more trouble opening a jar of pickles than cracking this safe's code. I suspect that a determined toddler armed with a plastic toy hammer could break into it within minutes. And let's not forget the fire and water resistance claims. I wouldn't trust this safe to protect a bag of marshmallows from a drizzle, let alone my precious documents or jewelry. It's like they coated it in tissue paper and called it a day.All in all, if you're in the market for a good laugh and a reminder that nothing in life is truly secure, GHJGAGE 1.6 Home Safe is the perfect investment. Just make sure to hide your valuables somewhere else—maybe behind a painting of a sad clown for an added touch of irony!
