Easy to assemble and compact.
Easy to assemble and just what I wanted to allow me to press brass end caps. Also fits in my shed .

You get what you pay for
I chose this press on price, figuring I would not use it enough to justify paying any more for a top quality product. The assembly instructions are very basic and on the model I bought are inaccurate, talking about screwing the ram into the support plate, which you cannot do because there is no thread on the plate. Instead there is a large locking ring for which no tightening tool is provided. On starting to put the press together I began to appreciate why it is cheap. The pump housing is a casting with three holes drilled through it to fix it to the frame of the press. M8 hex head machine screws are supplied but they are too short for the top fixing. On inserting the screws I found that the drilled holes were too tight to do the screws up by hand, which is not a problem because you need a spanner or socket to fully tighten in any event. However when I tightened up the top screw it only penetrated about 3mm into the pump before it ran out of thread and torquing it up only lightly was sufficient to strip the thread.Sealey were quick to send out a replacement pump but that had exactly the same problem of the threads being too tight to screw up the supplied screws by hand. Fortunately I had a longer screw available which i used to secure the top of the pump. Apart from a leak between the ram and the gauge, which was fixed with PTFE tape, the rest of the assembly was uneventful.Make sure you construct the press where you are going to use it because it is a two man job to lift.Like the previous reviewer I doubt I will ever be able to apply more than 3 or 4 tonnes of pressure without using the pump as a foot pump and I'm not confident the thread of the handle would hold up, given past experience.

Brilliant
Fixed the issue with the half shafts no worries

the most I could get out of it is around 5tonne using upper body strength and I'm pretty strong. Lesser people would struggle to
Adequate for many hobby jobs in the garage, but beware the table width is 118mm clearance which made it very hard to press out a wheel bearing for a small Vauxhall. Really need a larger leaver to achieve 10 tonne, the most I could get out of it is around 5tonne using upper body strength and I'm pretty strong. Lesser people would struggle to get this above 2 tonne. If you could stand on the lever you may be able to get more. The platform is strong but easily slips off as there are not retaining mechanism. I had to use stacks of steel plates to get a large enough diameter to punch out the bearing. Larger cars will be a problem and I would suggest go bigger with higher transfer ratio so you're not having to put so much effort in.Otherwise very good quality product, particularly the hydraulic RAM and pump. The handle screws in which reduces frustration from handles which would otherwise keep falling out. Very positive action. The release is also convenient and can be done by hand, no tool required. The ram is sprung loaded and retracts automatically when the release valve is opened.

10t press? That turned out to be a grossly optimistic claim with mine.
The 10 tonne label is misleading. Using proper effort (N.B. I'm a farmer and have laboured manually since I was a kid. So, I'm no skinny, office boy, weakling) I only got mine to an indicated 5 tonnes before it blew out a nylon washer that the gauge seats on and started leaking oil profusely, thus losing pressure. I contemplated replacing the nylon washer with a brass one, to hold more pressure, but I figure I'd need much more muscle and even if I had that I would likely break something else long before getting anywhere near an indicated 10 tonnes. As it happens I only needed an indicated 4t to press in the bearings I was fitting. In conclusion; if you want a pretty looking 5 tonne press it's great. I'll certainly not be getting rid of mine but.... "buyer beware".
