Q: Can the paper be sewed

Yes it absolutely can be used to sew! I don't know what your project is, but other customers have used it within blankets, sensory toys, and pet toys (just to name a few). Typically, customers sew it in between two pieces of fabric and sew it in order to secure it in place.

Q: Is this product cpsia compliant?

Great question and thank you for asking. Crinkle Material for makers is actually exempt from CPSIA testing requirements. Although exempt, we decided to go above and beyond by contracting a certified CPSIA laboratory to test Crinkle Material for Phthalates and lead. Crinkle Material for makers passed the Phthalate and lead level as set forth by the CPSIA Act. Please contact us directly for a copy of the test results.

Q: I'm trying to imitate the brown crinkly paper that comes in delivery boxes. Does this crinkle that loudly?

It crinkles loudly but more like an empty plastic water bottle than brown paper. I used it in a sensory blanket for tummy time for infant.

Q: Anyone make a cat crinkle blanket out of this? Did you have to use any stuffing also between the material?

I made a couple for my daughter’s cat. I doubled the crinkle paper and did not use any stuffing. I used a soft textured material on one side and cotton on the other. It seemed to work.
