Awful, it just wouldn’t trim, came with no spare razors. Quality is so poor, when I tried to use it was leaving red marks everywhere. Look elsewhere

The good: solid one piece all metal construction that feels sturdy and I'm not worried about dropping it. or the sides deforming from pressure. Has screw holes in the bottom for affixing to a work bench.The bad: The slide on clamp, whilst a little fiddly to attach does slide on and is similarly built of metal. BUT I thought I would test the clamp and screwed it down to base... can't unscrew it at the handle screws off in the same direction. Result - had to cut the clamp screw. Why the knob isn't attached to the screw I don't know. Save yourself the extra money and buy the version of this without the clamping screw.Unlike others, I did not have problems with the sharp edges. Whilst some bevelling would be nice, it is quite workable.

I’ve done a lot of tiling over the years and FINALLY I’ve found something that makes cutting tile trims a joy!!It cut easily 2-3 hours off my latest job, just because the blooming think keeps the trim in place thus making sure your cuts are true, avoiding the inevitable wobble, which makes the finish a bit poor if you’re holding it in place yourself.Fair enough I had to improvise and put the trim in between 2 bits of wood to avoid the arm that pins the trim down from scratching the trim, but once I’d sorted that, it was easy.An absolute godsend!! Better more accurate finish and faster! What’s not to like!!

No.1 This is quite a deep mitre box unlike all the cheap plastic ones. No.2 The clamp means that even in my case cutting aluminium profiles that the lack of a flat surface to clamp against was not a problem. no.3 It is designed so you can cut to the full depth of the profile since the slots are not just in the sides but in the floor of the mitre box itself. No.4 made in Taiwan and not a country close to Taiwan if you catch my drift.

The product capabilities are set to approx 2.5 inches in width. So not for coving above this size. It is ideal however for architrave. I am not an accomplished DIY'er and woodworking is most definitely not my competenance. However, I produced accurate cuts first time every time and completed an architrave frame surround which aligned perfectly, I was extremely proud of my achievement. The unit comes with a clamp device which can be used to hold the piece being cut, I used this for the cuts I made and it proved invaluable, however, protect the work surface of the item from being damaged from the clamp. The other reviews on Amazon have mentioned the item has very sharp edges, indeed there are warnings stating this fact on the product. However during its use I never encountered a single issue, just be careful. When sawing I used an Irwin Ultra Fine tenon saw which fitted the guide perfectly. I was particularly careful in not damaging the guide slots, as the unit is made from aluminium and would easily become damaged, however, it is much, much better than the plastic units which become slashed without you even feeling it in the saw. The unit is light in weight and would benefit from being stored in a protective box, it could easily become very damaged if lobbed into the bottom of your tool bag..

good size for small aluminum moldings, tubing or plastic rod. can be mounted to a bench or table to make cutting easier. fairly precise straight and bevel cuts.

It works great but with the small size it is a little hard to hold.
