Been using this hard drive for some time now and it has been an excellent bit of kit. Not noisy like some suggest and quite quick. I use it for storage and time machine and it does the job well.

I have not had it for long but one thing I like about the Transcend is , it is less noisy and easy to use. So far, I can recommend it to any who want to buy an external hard drive.

Really pleased with this drive I bought it for my son to keep a copy of all his work on he now has 3 hard drives and this one is a back up copy. It copies over at a decent rate even on a usb 2 port. He has not had any problems with it and has filled a quarter of the drive. He is a film student and needs to ensure his work is safe. I bought it to work with a Mac and it does work well. Really happy with it!

Unlike a lot of external hard drives this one is really quiet and doesn't get hot.

I bought this hard drive because I needed more storage capacity for my pictures than I had on my 2TB MyBook external drive and I have had good experiences with Transcend Compact Flash and SD cards. I have not had it long enough to judge its long term reliability but it seems to be working very well. My only grumble about it is that it came with a two pin plug, so any one purchasing one of these drives needs to have a two pin adapter or better still a Euro 2 Pin to 3 Pin Converter Plug. If it had been supplied with a 3 pin plug or adapter I would have given it 5 stars.A big gripe that I have is when manufactures call hard drives enormous when if they are used for storage they are usually not. Nowadays 3TB and 4TB external drives should be regarded as a standard size as with the increasing mega pixel size of cameras hard drives are filling up at a faster rate than ever before.

Great value for archiving photos etc or as a Time Machine Disk if you have an iMac with 3TB fusion and a thunderbolt drive - may be a little slow to use as an main external drive

Thoroughly dissapointed. After purchasing I filled it up with 2tb of data on a Windows 10 Pro machine. I came back to the drive the following morning and the drive was corrupt.It wouldn't spin up, it wouldn't assign a drive letter and just made a noisy whirring sound. I contacted the seller and they were no help. I contacted transcend and tgey too were no help.Luckily I am experienced and managed to repair the drive as the boot partition was corrupt. I advise to steer well clear of this.

Na ja, aus meiner Sicht habe ich bei der Bestellung alles richtig gemacht. Der Transcend StoreJet 35T3 Desktop Storage USB 3.1 Gen 1 TS4TSJ35T3 arbeitet besser als ich dachte, ist sehr schnell und besitzt genügend Speicherkapazität. Konnte meine PC-Festplatte entlasten, was sich nun auch auf den PC positiv auswirkt. Muss natürlich dazu sagen, dass ich mir nicht die preisgünstigste externen Festplatte ausgesucht habe. Nun kann ich aber feststellen, das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt und ist o.k.Also ich kann sie nur weiter empfehlen.

I wish I could give the seller no starts. They never stated anywhere that this drive was European plug. today my Amazon box arrived. I opened the first box and outside the external drive package was an American/European adapter and I got a horrible feeling that I have received a European external drive. Seller, YOU SHOULD STATE in item description if the product is from another country or continent. I took some screenshots of everything the page said just in case the seller decides to smoothly change anything. I wouldn't care so much about the European plug if it was stated somewhere or just give the buyer the damn choice. This is the problem with Amazon sellers, they ALWAYS leave facts out about their product. Nowhere does it state on the external drive if it is 110v comparable nor the manual. I mean an adapter is not a damn converter you could still fry your device. Trust me I know I used to live in Germany for three years. in fact, I have a European Smart tv and on the back, it has a small switch where you can select 110v or 230v, but not on this drive. I mean even my PS3 tells you on the back if it is 110v or 230v (which is both) and I was also able to use it in Germany with just an adapter.

I have brought three of these and I don't think the software in them are much good and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone I'm buying another one eight terabytes and I am going to send this one back if it plays up like the other two I tell you only reson I haven't sent the other ones back is because they out of date

On arrival I opened the package and unpacked the accessories. Plugging it into a USB 3.0 port, the first run of the device took about 30 seconds before Windows recognised the drive. I was quite pleased to see all 4gb available on my older Win XP system, no partitioning required. Gave full meaning to the term 'plug and play'.In this unit, the enclosed drive was a WD blue WD40EZRZ series drive. I suspect the reason the drives' full capacity was available was due to the WD SES driver already installed on my system from a previous WD MyBook purchase. For my purposes, I did not want any additional backup software cluttering up my system, so I am pleased the drive works 'as is' with nothing else required.Crystal disk info reported 4 power cycles and 0 hours usage, so the installed drive was likely in new condition. I ran a chkdsk /f /r on the drive and about 10 hours later, chkdsk reported no errors from a detailed scan.At this point with only 12 hours on the drive I cannot comment about the durability of the unit, only time will tell.Pros: see aboveCons: very old USB 3 type B interface connector a bit pricey compared to a branded WD product an on off switch would have been niceCan't give it 5 stars due to the durability question.I received no promotional or financial compensation for posting this review.

コスト的に良かったので、職場で導入し、問題なかったので自宅にも導入しました。半年使ってみた感想です。たまにＨＤＤにアクセスする、「カチッ」「ガキュ」っていうような音が大きくて気になります。それ以外は、ブルーのランプが明るいので、これを隠して使っています。部屋で使用する場合、寝ているとこの点滅が物凄く気になります。そんな感想です。他はいまのところ問題ありません。
