I got a new keyboard and Cablemod had been on my radar for a long time. So since the keyboard was new and fresh, I figured I'd pull the trigger on a nice cable to go with it. I paired this with a Redragon keyboard that is a nice ice blue on the aluminum pieces and I set the color to dark blue. This cable also matches my purple iridescent cup I have from Brumate

would cause pc to short circuit and black screen (needing full gpu driver reinstall) if put onto metal usb c input ontop of keyboard

This is my bad I thought this cable was like other custom cables and had a quick disconnect. It’s literally a charm that attaches around the coiled cable. So overpriced for what it is since it doesn’t require any soldering. This technically should be half the price

After telling me that it would cost $50-$70 to return my $39 part they told me to pound salt. As an IT professional I will never buy or recommend cablemod.com. They DO NOT stand behind the customer experience. Might as well just throw your money out the window.

Don't be fooled. The visual LEMO connector is just a cosmetic weight, they do not come apart. Connectors on a keyboard cable are almost overwhelmingly just cosmetic anyways though.

A couple things I noticed when first taking this out of the box, was that the coil wasn't very strong after you take out the plastic protector and that it seemed somewhat short to be 150 cm. If you keep the cable's coil as advertised (still coiled), the cable is really only about 110 cm, which is a whole foot and a half shorter. If you were to order a longer one, you would have to buy a custom one from their website which are more than double the price.
