I love this book! I learned about it through the mysterious meandering magic of Instagram. And I bought it because I was curious what someone would have to say about what's new and fresh about a city I love visiting. I was not expecting such an amazing book.The exploration of the changing scenes of food, coffee, patisserie, cocktails, shopping and more is so well researched and well written that it's joy to read. There's plenty of gorgeous photography to feed our now insatiable appetite for imagery. It's so much more than a travel guide; it's an insight to the evolution of Paris through each of these lenses. And as a bonus you learn about all the interesting and forward thinking renegades dragging a traditional culture into the future.I used it to help plan my most recent visit to Paris and it was a faithful advisor to a wonderful experience. I'm looking forward to another visit to continue to explore the New Paris that is there to be discovered.Worthy of each of the 5 stars.

The New Paris is an ambitious, exhilarating book that goes far beyond a charming collection of hidden treasures. With an astute mind, a discerning eye and a huge heart, Lindsey Tramuta adeptly explores the exciting movement happening in Paris right now and brings it to the forefront, with beautiful imagery by Charissa Fay that feels like the Paris we already know, but a fresh and forward thinking version. I have just returned from my sixth trip to the city and really wish I'd had this book to inform my visit and take it to a level I have not yet experienced, but have found myself longing for - one that until this book I didn't know existed to this extent. But there will be a next time and thanks to The New Paris I cannot wait to meet my new Paris.

Good for browsing dreaming and planning a Paris trip on a lazy Sunday morning with Croissants, good jam and good coffee

It came on time, and I was anxiously waiting for it! It was beautiful, the book is heavy and hardback with gorgeous photos, loads of information and detailed descriptions of all the places. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to visit Paris or anyone who loves aesthetically pleasing images like these or someone who just wishes they were there.

Love the book, however the cover was damaged on arrival which is very disappointing.

Bought this as a Christmas gift -- gorgeous quality, perfect for coffee table.

I originally downloaded a sample to my kindle but decided to purchase hardback due to its photo content. Unfortunately, pale grey print on white paper does not work for me and I was unable to actually read this book.The book was smaller than I thought; more large fiction size than coffee-table. The paper quality was poor; a matt finish which dulled the photos.Due to the undersized, unreadable font, I returned the book. Amazon's refund system is easy, fast and efficient.
