seraSnail Collect Snail and Bristle worm trap

Great, had a large infestation of snails. First few times the traps were full. Got some algae wafers as bait and works well. Less snails now do the traps obviously have less snails in them. Also trap shrimps but before I take the trap is removed I turn it upside down and lift out slowly and the shrimps swim out.A bit fiddly to put together. I have a bowl of boiling water ready and drop the traps in immediately to despatch the snails. A quick shake ant the trap is clean and ready to use again.

The singularly most useless piece of aquarium kit I have ever purchased. Fiddly to put together, overpriced and a total waste of time. I left it in for a week and yes plenty of snails go in and have a nice feed on the bait. Minor over sight on the part of the designer however is that they then crawl straight back out again. Took the trap out after more then a week and not a snail in there, despite my tank being swamped with snails of all shapes and sizes. The best thing you can do with this is built it then use to crush the snails in your tank as that is the only way it is ever going to reduce your snail population.

Only good if you have slightly larger fish. Trapped so many juvenile guppies and mollies because i was trying to catch ramshorn snails which are bit bigger. Not enough adjustment on the bars to be able to keep the fish out.

Catches lots of snails but very fiddly to put together. We ended up jamming the lid down between the sides to stop it moving. It also needs a weight (we used a pebble) to hold it in place at the bottom of the tank. It only comes with two bait blocks but we got some ground feeder wafers which work just as well.

Truly the best product I’ve ever bought off Amazon (and I’m a prolific Amazon shopper). I have something of a snail infestation in my aquarium, and picking them off the glass sides was proving time consuming and ineffective. Didn’t want to risk chemicals for protection of my chosen tank inhabitants. So I bought this. And it’s BRILLIANT. To date (3 days) I’ve had 6 hauls like the one pictured - a good couple of hundred snails each time. Easy to set up the trap, add the bait and clean out before re-baiting and setting. This is the nuts if you have an aquarium & unwanted snails.

This has to be the most fiddly thing to put together with many small plastic parts and then once put into water everything literally floated away. I bought this for an outdoor water feature as I have lots of small snails. If there was a zero star that's what it would get! This product went in the bin!!

Amazing product was full of snails by morning and the 2 shrimp so keep an eye out. The legs are a bit flimsy, I broke 2 by leaving on the table and placing my foot on them haha. Obviously not the product fault! Would recommend

As many have said before me, the design of this thing is very poor, the bars on which the teeth sit are too short and constantly fall out of the groves in the plastic, you have to be some sort of a magician to balance the bars within the groves while also submerging the whole thing in the water which is impossible to do for a normal person as the teeth, and thus the bars, move with the water pressure while you are lowering it into the tank. A nope from me.

Ich hatte bis vor wenigen Tagen nahezu eine Schneckenplage in meinem 450 l. Aquarium. Auch das gelegentliche Absammeln führte langfristig nicht zum gewünschten Erfolg, sodass eine Schneckenfalle her musste.Einige Rezensionen haben mich zwar skeptisch gemacht, gewagt habe ich diese Schneckenfalle allerdings trotzdem. Tatsächlich bin ich mega begeistert, da ich in weniger als 48 Stunden nahezu alle Schnecken aus meinem Aquarium rausbekommen habe (mindestens 100). Es werden 2 Futtertabletten mitgeliefert, auf die die Schnecken wie verrückt losgegangen sind. Im Anschluss habe ich normales Fischfutter in Tablettenform genutzt genauso wie eine Scheibe Gurke, die man ebenfalls in die Falle hineinpacken kann. Wie gesagt, nach nunmehr 3 Tagen ist fast die gesamte Schneckenpopulation verschwunden, so dass ich die Falle vermutlich erst einmal wieder aus dem Aquarium herausnehmen werde.Der Zusammenbau der Falle funktioniert einwandfrei und einfach, bislang hat sich kein einziger Fisch der Falle verfangen. 👍
