Cute and fun!
I got these for my daughter, husband, and I to play around with together, and we like them a lot! They were very out of tune when they arrived, but after some time spent tuning them, they sound just fine. I saw other reviews complaining about this, but they're tiny instruments shipped in a box, of course they're going to fall out of tune. If I dropped it on the floor I'd have to re-tune it. Just plan to tune them, and if you're not looking to do that, take it to a music store or buy one in person in the first place. They're solid build, nice quality, and we think they're easy to tune and play! The little flute is a really simple plastic thing, but it was a fun little addition to find in the box. (Daughter is more interested in tooting away a single monotone note on the little flute than playing around with the kalimba, but hey, she's having fun!)

Super cute and a fund passtime
I bought this as a gift for someone else, but I love it so much I may keep it haha. It's a great little ADHD toy that passes the time, keeps my brain occupied, and my hands busy. The only 'complaint' I have is that the keychain little string it comes with was broken and it is not possible to thread it through the hole. Pretty sure this was a returned piece. Doesn't bother me since I am not going to put the little keychain string on it.

They’re not “tuned” correctly
Firstly yes, this is cheap enough and a good gift for any age or abilities.Bought these for my autistic adult son because he likes music and making “noise” so I figured maybe we could teach him (got some books too), or maybe he’d just play with it as it was. They come with strings to pull through so you can hang them or carry them with you, which you have to thread and loop through a tiny hole. To be noted that one of the three didn’t have home drilled through to the other side, but I poked it with a large needle that I used to thread the cord through. That said, I played with it to hear the sounds, and neither of the three is properly tuned.Maybe they “move” during packing or shipping?Kalimbas are made with long metal flat prongs (for lack of better wording) which sound line guitars do when clicked on, through a middle hole. They’re held together by piece of wood and screws, and should be tuned based on their positioning. They aren’t.My daughter plays instruments, so I bought her a larger one to play (maybe her and brother could learn together) and hers has a tuning hammer. We will have to try and re-tune his smaller ones with an audio tuner to get it right, but as of now they’re “off”.In truth it’s still a cute gift and it doesn’t look cheaply made. Just wish we could actually play notes accordingly. I gave it an overall of 3 stars because of tuning. If we can correctly readjust it without difficulty, then I’ll upper my review to 4 stars

Good sound
I think the Kalimba is very good! Sure it came in the package out of tune but I suppose it is normal to find the kalimba out of tune. No problem cause I had a tuner with me and some tools to help me get my mini kalimba in tune! It’s fun to play!

Better than expected
I wasn't originally planning on going with this Kalimba since it doesn’t come with a box/bag, but the price is incredibly enticing.Pros-tuned well-laser engraved with logo (super cute)-quality materials-worth the priceCons-The string it comes with is lame-No box/bagI would buy this again, it is easy to play and fits nicely in my hands (small hands).

Too tight
The prongs or whatever they are called are too tight, making it hard to play.
