Nokia C5-00 warm grey (5 MP) SIM free mobile phone

I upgraded my previous C5 at my contractual phone shop, and was told that "touch screen" is all the rage, people were doing it at parties, up telegraph poles and potholing in stereo, I lasted just over a week, it did my head in, and there are times in my life when pure logic and comfort overcomes prissy technology and this was it.The C5 has everything I need, it has a good camera and video, satnav, voice recorder, gives your co ordinates incase you need help and you are in the middle of nowhere, it enables multiple email addresses and I nearly forgot, you can also make phone calls with it..... ALL AT THE TOUCH OF A BUTTON, it is my phone of choice where I can press the correct button and get the correct entry every time, rather than spinning right past it and stubbing your finger on the wrong one, several times. Quote me happy!, the only downside with this particular handset, was that it was Polish, and texting is a bind as they use more letters than us and voicemail notification is in polish, ....I was not informed of this when I purchased, don't make the same mistake.

I wanted a phone with decent sat nav but not one that had a touchscreen or that was very smart. This phone ticks all those boxes. Sat nav is good, is reasonably quick to fix position using integrated GPS only (no A-GPS) and all the phone functions work well. I also very much like the raised keypad which makes it easy to dial without error.As others have reviewed the phone lacks a facility in sleep mode to indicate that a message has arrived or a call has been missed (my old Nokia had a flashing light). Also the default setup delivers a very cluttered screen but with minimal fiddling around this can be sorted.Overall I am very satisfied with this phone.

What a mistake! I bought to Nokia C5 to replace my old Ericsson on which the camera feature had failed. I thought the Nokia would have been as I remembered Nokia's of old, simple and straightforward, well I was wrong, firstly I cant even read the tool bar at the bottom of the gallery, the icons are too small, the screen is invisible in sunlight, the texting is laborious and how stupid to have blue letters on the silver buttons. I'll have to put it down to experience and buy another!

Just what we wanted, typical nokia quality, easy to use and navigate the menu. Very good product arrived well packed with charger.

its a good cheap phone, but the font size is far too small. when will mobile phone manufacturers give us the choice of bigger fonts? can only get bigger fonts on smart phones.

The product that I bought was faulty so I had to send it back although a previous model that I owned was very good.

This was a trouble free purchase, it is a well made and designed 'phone. I hope my wife likes it as it is one of her Christmas presents.
