Love the rotating base, and the magnets are very strong, so the iPads not coming off unless you want it too.The hinges don’t move once in place, which is a positive and a negative. Positive is you know that the viewing angle is not going to change unless you give it some pressure to move it. Negative is that it’s extremely difficult to reposition.Overall though, a fantastic piece of engineering!

The media could not be loaded. Received the Benks Magnetic Foldable Stand for iPad Pro (12.9) today. My first impressions noticed the excellent materials, with nice flexibility and a rotating base. The satisfying ratchet sound when rotating the base 360 degrees is very nice! Most stands don’t offer all the viewing angles and the ability to swivel it away to show the screen to someone else. I will use the stand as a second screen for my work from home setup. (See last photo) Keep in mind there are some angles that the stand will allow but the balance would be off and it will tip over. To be safe choose the desired angle and check for stability. The stand is sturdy and held up to the scientific tap test. For me, there weren’t any worries about the device falling or tipping in regular second screen mode. In conclusion, my first impressions are that this is an excellent iPad stand that looks nice and feels solid.

The stand is pretty sturdy and magnets hold the iPad well. The stand can hold iPad upright as well as at low angle (enabling you to write using pencil). There are two issues (a) when the iPad is mounted certain angle, the hinge starts giving away. There is no way in which the hinge can be tightened to stop this. (b) The magnets are pretty strong in holding iPad, but its a bit difficult to figure out how to orient the iPad when mounting it on stand. There are not guiding points on the magnetic plate to help with this (for example, some stands have a cut out area for camera that can be used for orienting iPad).

The stand is well constructed and of good quality.However the magnets do not work, they are far too weak.If you have a case on your iPAD the magnets do not hold at all, making the stand completely unusable.Too bad :-( because the stand would be perfect if the magnets were stronger. The manufacturer needs to ensure that the stand works with most device cases eg. Otterbox ...

This is perfect to my sons iPad on his desk set up. iPad attaches and detaches easily and feels very sturdy and secure while in use.

This stand has good build quality. It takes a bit of effort to adjust, but this would seem to allow it to maintain the set position very well. I hope that, in time, it doesn't become more lax. The magnets hold the iPad firmly. Some have noted that they don't like to take the case off to use the stand. In my case, I have a simple cover that's easy to take off and put back on. I have found it easiest to attach the iPad by putting it face down and letting the magnets on the stand latch onto the iPad. I like that it fits without a cutout for the rear camera, making it more likely to be future-proof in the event that the camera is changed. There's something oddly satisfying about the "mechanical click" heard when rotating the base.UPDATE:After using the holder nearly every day, the arm still works well; however, the rotating base has become lax and now wobbles. As such, two stars are removed. In retrospect, a solid non-rotating base would have been a better option.
