This will serve me well!
I purchased this cage specifically for my bearded dragon. All the little parts in pieces for ramps and the hide are not being used. I took those parts and bagged them up. For the different levels, I will use rocks and different branches instead of what they provided. Also not using the bottom shelf under the cage. No need for it at all for how I’m using the cage. This will be for when I am not outside supervising him, so he can enjoy the sun protected in the cage from birds, cats, or the random whatever crosses through the backyard when I am not there. He has a net cage I use when I am outside with him but I don’t trust that to his protection at all, something could easily rip in or even kill him through the net. This cage is perfect for a temporary hangout when catching some ☀️ as it’s sturdy and a great predator deterrent. Also I would not trust him in this cage overnight due to the “locks” not being tamper proof. Anything hungry enough will figure out how to open this cage. The cover I purchased is perfect for when I leave the cage outside in the summer and I don’t want the sporadic rain to flood it out. It’ll prevent me from having to drag it in and out of the house every night, even though it is very light.Cover - https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0CF8HBTF6?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_image#aw-udpv3-customer-reviews_feature_divIt is extremely sturdy, especially for a small animal. My California king snake might spend an evening in it someday, but before anything stays in the cage overnight, I will make sure that it’s completely secure with different latches to prevent forced entry. This was put together very well. It did have a very strong scent, but that will go away with time. The parts and pieces were clean and not mangled or rusted. Took no more than 30 minutes and two different sizes of Phillips screwdrivers.Overall, I am extremely happy with this product for my small reptiles. I would not put a rabbit, or even a Guinea pig sized animal in this cage for life. Very small animals only. I could not see a hamster using this permanently either. Honestly, it’s great as a temporary outdoor daytime reptile enclosure.I put my 8 month old dragon on the top shelf for size comparison. Definitely not made for a big mammal. But it will be a fun hunting space to let some roaches go that he can crawl all over the cage for 😂

Almost - just a few solvable issues.
Overall I am pleased( I have 2 rats). It’s visually pleasing, the rats are not walking on wire risking injury, plenty of space(wish it was a little bigger), I would not recommend for anything larger than a rat. Negatives: I had to drill holes on platforms to avoid splintering when screwing on ramps, also had to glue the small platforms plastic layer to avoid my rats pulling it off. My biggest issue is the glass door at the bottom is not chewing free. I ended up buying chicken wire and stapling across the entire door to prevent chewing. Not a big deal to me but you may want to be prepared to do the same. One last thing, the house: lacking predrilled holes, rusty screws, too small for anything bigger than a hamster. I am not using it.

NOT for Guinea pigs
It’s built solid, and easy assembly and looks nice. However, we bought it for 2 guinea pigs and they don’t even fit in the house. Also, the sides are made of wood. Now, and less than a month later, I have to purchase a new cage because they chewed through the wood. This might be okay for a really small animal, but it should NOT be recommended for any Guinea pigs at all.

Not guinea pig friendly
The wood is chewable in places by guinea pigs. And the tray does over flow into the cracks. Not non chewable as they stated in the description.

Not suitable for hamsters or other burrowing animals
TLDR: DO NOT BUY THIS FOR A HAMSTER. Make a cage out of a big 150-200 qt plastic storage tote: they're cheap and infinitely better for a hamster's needs.A little about the cage first: This is a nice cage. It is easy to put together (took me about 30 minutes, all I needed was a Philips head and the wrench that came with it) and very sturdy. I especially appreciate that pretty much every wooden edge is covered by metal to avoid damage from chewing. And the metal mesh/bars seems very resistant. It is also easy to clean. I'm sure there are some animals this cage would be great for. Sadly, I ordered this for a hamster before I learned that hamsters need A LOT of space to burrow. As in 10 or more INCHES of bedding to burrow in. Additionally, multi level cages can be dangerous for hamsters because they are not good climbers, and their poor eyesight can easily cause them to fall off ledges and get injured. This cage, while very nice for what it is, is in no way acceptable for a hamster. I accept the responsibility for ordering an inadequate cage, I could have done more research beforehand to avoid that mistake. However, I do think it's horribly irresponsible to advertise this as a hamster cage. Others will make the same mistake I made, and some of them might not realize their mistake, and animals will suffer because of that. There is no scenario where a hamster can be kept humanely in a cage like this. Please look up diy storage tote cages for hamsters, they are easy and cheap and they will make for a happy hamster. If you want something that looks a little nicer, make a diy fish tank cage.

Great for Quail!
I own a small flock of 4 quail that I keep indoors. This is the perfect size for them! They have plenty of space & the ability to customize the interior is amazing! I love the pull out tray so I can change their bedding when needed.
