As someone who has struggled for years to attain that perfect medium ash brown shade, let me tell you that this WORKS! I have balayage hair that gets extremely brassy, but by the third application, (leaving on for about 25 minutes each time) all red tones in my hair were virtually gone! And it left my hair silky soft and frizz free (I also struggle with frizz) unlike other toners I have used that have dried out my hair. As for the price, it is extremely pricey for the small bottle that you get, but for all the money I have spent on products that did not work and for how hard it is to find a green toner that targets red tones only, this was totally worth it!

I use a lot of products for my hair. This is one of my favorites. My hair shines and there is no red. Love it.

This is the only thing I have found that will actually get rid of the red tones in my hair. The only thing I’m not a fan of is that it does stain my white bathtub if I don’t wipe it right away.

If you follow the instructions and apply this (make sure you use the gloves) with freshly shampooed and towel dried hair, leave on for 5 mins or so - it will absolutely tone down any reds that are in your hair. I have used box dye that turned the hairs closest to my scalp very red to orange. This mask completely toned it down to medium brown. It is a thick green paste/cream from the tube but when it rinses out, it looks purple in the water. It also left my hair quite conditioned and soft as well. Very pleased with the results.I have used henna on my hair in the past and have had some very orange/red results (of course, I never try to overlay henna on box dyed hair!). I'm guessing this mask would tone that down as well since it's a pigmented overlay to the hair and not the same as a chemical dye.

This hair make is not cheap! its has a pretty high price tag for me personally, but maybe for someone else not so much. I have dark brown hair and recently had it colored in the salon to cover my grays. It was perfect when I left the salon but after a few days of being on a beach vacation it started to notice some burgundy/reddish toned in my hair that I was very clear that I did not want that!I used this and all that was gone! It smells so good, like a salon, and left my hair like SiLK. That being said I wont be buying this again unless i have a very important event because of the price! In my opinion it needs to be reduced in price by 50%
