Overall perfect for a first high quality drone
*** Don't forget to register to FAA! *** Also a lot of restriction for where to fly, goggle and go to FAA.gov about that first before buying any drone!***I got it for my husband for Christmas last year and he loves it. The whole family had an additional thing to do because of this little drone! Even grandpa Bob approves and loves the drone! (Almost the first time seeing him out in the yard not in front of the TV... lol Want your kids to play outdoor? Here's a perfect way)Anyways, the drone is very sturdy and the 1080p camera is totally enough for great quality filming. I also suggests to watch youtube vids and guides online first. My hubby didn't want to wait and tried it without learning how to, so he got confused and bit frustrated the first try... But after a few videos on youtube to learn how to do the gesture mode and sport mode, this drone is AMAZING to play with.Yes there's a lot of perks to get it as the first drone, if you are looking to start or just want a drone that is great quality, not those junk that are soft plastic and easy to break, this is the one for you.1. Small enough to carry, even it is not fold-able like Mavic.2. Lots of additional cases and accessories to purchase if needed. (My hub bought 2 extra battery with a recharge case from DJI and it's great! +20 mins of flying and recharge so fast! +30 mins for recharge = 60 mins flying total each trip)3. Decent price for this great quality. (It's pretty heavy duty, hit a wall + tree before and only the wings need replace - which is $10-$15 per wings! And the drone came with 2 extra to replace. Great!)4. 1080p Camera can do a lot and very fast to adjust the lighting (Good enough for youtube vids)5. It has a lot of different modes to try, so you won't get bored for a long while6. Battery is about 10-15 mins per 1 hour charge. But it's pretty good cause you will realize it's a long vids to record/take photos. Or even just to play with it. And that also help you plan on what to do instead of wasting battery to float and do nothing.7. You can somewhat customize some buttons. My hub set one of the buttons on control to instant switch camera angle. Nice feature!8. Buy it with the control please, you will regret not to!!! Using only mobile device is harder to fly the drone. Which the controller makes it way easier and allow you to fly smoother with fast turns and accurate control. The set I got with this price included:Drone x1,pair of wing x2,A charger that plug into the drone to charge battery x1,a USB cable to connect drone to desktop x1,Battery x1 (Is already on the drone when in box),Small guide books x3I have never seen my husband be so happy about his Christmas gifts.(Haha, I know my gifts were lame I know...e.g. Socks, Tools, Menswear,etc... ) It's almost a month now and he is still trying to fly his drone as much as possible, and also still a lot for him to learn. I can see how much improvement he did on flying the drone yet don't need to worry too much about damaging it, since it has a great hard shell and sturdy when it's floating way up high about 400 ft. So much more I can talk about but this is about all the main things why you should get it.But if you are looking for something that fly longer than 10 mins and you want to be a drone pilot/ use it the professional way, this is not really the drone for it. (Or could be, but won't be as professional)

Most amazing piece of technology I own
For Christmas my dad gave me money for a drone and told me to pick one out. The Spark was initially out of my price range but it's the cheapest drone that has the max range I wanted to explore the lake I live on.I didnt know much about drones but after flying this thing a total of 100 thousand feet it has blown my mind time and time again with its capabilities and software.I had no idea the pictures and videos this takes would be of such high quality. After messing around with settings and filters I continue to I prove as an aerial photograpghy. The 360 panoramas are breath taking and with VR goggles you can view them and feel like you're floating in the air.The speed, maneuverability, range and height are literally unbelievable. Watching this tiny thing zip around over the lake at 30 mph blows everyone's minds who I've shown it to. Even people who have never cared about stuff like this love watching it and are envious. Everyone should own a spark. At first I was nervous flying over water but it's so smart my fears have evaporated. I've lost signal before (I live near in an area with tons of interference) and was ready for it to fall out of the sky but nope, within seconds I heard its motors rushing towards me. It knew to return to the home point and I regained signal and continued flying.I never thought I would get so into this hobby so much but I cant wait to get home from work and fly. Its actually been really healthy for me as it gives me a casual activity to do that gets me off my computer and away from the TV.There are a lot of accessories I recommend but you dont need them initially. You will definitely want extra batteries and a multi charger. If you fly over water a polarized filter is nice. A range booster is a wonderful accessory for the surprisingly low price. I don't have blade guards but I have broken blades and will probably add some. Also they make cheap and light battery retainers to keep the battery from falling out mid flight. Idk if this is a problem with the spark but I wouldn't take the risk. A coworkers $1500 drone pooped out its battery and dropped into a lake in front of the whole company. The drone couldn't be found and it was embarrassing for him.The one downside, the instructions the spark comes with are crap. I read them all cover to cover and still didnt feel like I understood anything. Luckily there are tons of online forums and YouTube videos to get you started. All in all the Spark is an extremely awesome toy as well as super high tech and capable photography device. Buy it you wont regret it
