They are the ticket for aluminum
Works much better than standard wheels on aluminum. Worth investing in these

nice flap disks
I expect flap disks to wear fairly quickly - these are better than cheap ones and I think about the same as ones I've paid a lot more for.Being made up for aluminum, I didn't try these on steel but I am sure they would work - but for aluminum they resist clogging up and keep cutting well.I'm only two disks into the box but like having the T27 with the built in 5/8-11 - just spin it on and spin it off when worn out - no flanges or tool needed most of the time. For knocking down edges or even straightening up edges, these seem to work well -I haven't tried them on any weld beads yet but imagine they will work just as well for that.

These work great!
Kind of went out on a limb getting these. I have had bad luck with cheap grinding/cutting stuff. These were different than the usual flap-disks I get. These had a threaded boss already on. They threaded right on and stayed put -most of the time. My grinder has an electronic brake, if they were not cranked on tight, they would fly off by the harsh stop of the brake.Grinding performance was great. Able to really 'hog' metal with them. Highly recommend!

Very aggressive
In my product reviews I primarily focus on quality and functionality, and end with my recommendation. It should be noted that, while these items ship to me at no cost, there is a significant time investment and a 20% to 30% tax liability. What you are about to read is strictly my unbiased opinion.Quality: These flap discs claim to be designed specifically for use on aluminum. I took an old piece of billet aluminum that had been laying outside for many years and went over it lightly with one of these 60 grit discs. As you can see from the pictures, it definitely removed some material. There was no vibration from the disc and the metal shoulder fit nicely over my 7/8” arbor.Functionality: These things are very aggressive. While I didn’t spend a lot of time testing, I can say that they will certainly clean and cut aluminum. I have never tried flap discs that were specifically designed for aluminum, but I was very happy with the performance of these.Recommendation: As I stated earlier, I don’t have previous experience with this specific product, but I have burned through hundreds of flap discs on steel. These seem to do a good job. I have no problem recommending them.

Remove material fast, wear out even faster.
These are decent flap discs in my opinion. Not the best but are heap better then what your local hardware store will sell. They will remove material rather quickly but also wear out just as fast.

These exceeded my expectaions
Really happy with these flap discs. The arbor makes installation simple and secure, plus the quality of the build material is great. For my first use I had several 6mm bolts that were corroded and seized to the nuts. I used one of these discs and was able to carefully grind the nut and bolt completely down in mere seconds, very impressed. Grinding was clean, no skipping, and allowed for very precise work.

What's the difference?
Ok, so, honestly I can't tell the difference between an aluminum or steel flap disc. This one will polish/grind steel just fine, but it's probably going to wear out quicker. So, if you're looking for some lighter duty flap discs that are "made for aluminum" then these work. Unfortunately, to get a real insight into items like this, you have to do some "project farm" kind of testing against multiple brands. So, trust the brand and get these, but test some cheaper ones to see if you can tell a difference.
