Having a large 24" ruler i found it slipped loads as i couldn,t hold it firmly with one hand, espcecially cutting long binding strips.. I read about this in leah day's book, and decided to try it..i was a bit sceptical as it just looks like clear plastic, and i definitely agree that you shouldnt cut it with your rotary cutter. I covered the whole back of the ruler, and it is amazing, it hasnt slipped since so i would throroughly recommend it. I know some people have just used small strips ofnthis but for the really big rulers i think you would need to cover the whole thing. Its not cheap, but nor is messing up loads of fabric with bad cutting!

Was expecting it to be sticky but it's only held on by static however it's stayed on through some rigourous use in my card making class. My students can now use their rulers and craft knives safely and without slipping.

What a complete waste of money! I’ve had better results using a bit of cling film to anchor a quilt ruler.....I’ll probably use it to cover a book or simply dump it in a charity shop to save cluttering up my place. Honestly people, just don’t waste your money - nothing I tried using it on actually stayed put.The delivery time was poor too- I’d actually forgotten I’d ordered it by the time it arrived!

I bought this to prevent my Olfa ruler from sliding. Unfortunately this product isn't adhesive, it relies on static to adhere to the ruler and because my ruler is slightly frosted this doesn't stick at all.Maybe this product would be useful if you have a completely smooth ruler, but I think there are probably better solutions around, esp given the price of this one.

Highly recommended.It is working! I use it for all of my small templates.Very useful for double wedding ring etc.Can be cut for even smaller parts that they suggest,still working fine.Love it.

Took long to arrive but overall happy with product.

This is brilliant. I bought this to cover my 6.5" X 24" ruler. The adhesive rings didn't work too good as you need at least a whole packet which isn't really cost effective. This was so easy to,use. I unrolled the invisigrip and laid my ruler on top, leaving off 1/2", I used my rotary cutter to cut it out, peeled back about 4" of the backing and carefully applied the invisigrip leaving a 1/4" gap all round. It is a bit tricky getting the air bubbles out but is well worth the effort. You can still position the ruler easily but as soon as any pressure is applied it's not going anywhere which is great as I find that such a long ruler always moves a little when you're nearing the top. I washed and thoroughly dried the ruler before application which I recommend. It's got a dual use though. Not only does it stop the ruler slipping but it also protects the markings on the ruler. All in all a great product for larger rulers when the rings don't work well.
