Dirty and needs setup
It's a fun guitar to play. Unfortunately it was dirty like it was pulled from a wall at guitar center and never cleaned. I had to cut the strings off, clean the neck, polish frets and had to do intonation too.The guitar is great once it is setup.

A very well made guitar
I have several Fender guitars and each one its own sound although some Fenders aren't built-in the US they all should be rated independently and is a very nice Love it the guitar is nice size and weight nice balance and excellent sounds from these excellent pick-ups many thanks I'll put another order in for the series 3 very soon

Very impressed with how well this was set up upon arrival.... Highly recommend.
I was originally concerned about this purchase, I don't usually give too much regard to reviews cuz they can be hit or miss (unless there is an overwhelming amount of negative reviews) My concern was more towards purchasing a somewhat pricey guitar on amazon. I've had a bad experience with the first guitar purchase from amazon fortunately I was refunded. The guitar arrived a day earlier than anticipated from usps nicely done. First the negatives ... and believe me I really had to try like hell to find anything wrong with this purchase. That being said there was such a minor issue it's hardly worth noting but if I had to mention anything the "A" string was set (coiled around the tuner) in a miss coil as shown in picture... honestly not an issue seeing as I'll most likely replace strings in a month or so, other than that the guitar itself was shipped in a typical fender box and had undergone 4 point inspection, there was not much in terms of padding or packaging the neck was secured in the box, but the body of the guitar was able to swing around freely in the box, this seemed very odd to me seeing as how it could swing from side to side in the box during transport and get dinged up... I guess in this respect well done usps for handling the package with kid gloves. Seeing as those are the only negatives I could find ... the rest is pretty much self explanatory. Action on Bass E is perfect ... action on treble E is a little high for my liking but easily manageable and I think to compensate the pickup is also adjusted accordingly. Flawless in terms of presentation no scratches, dings, imperfections, it's honestly flawless, if I was purchasing this as a collector just to put on display it passed with flying colors. Performance is on point for Fender, amazing pickup, smooth flawless action, great sound clean and distorted. Overall happy with my purchase highly recommended, not sure who did the most work to provide this quality item be it Fender, inspectors, or usps for handling it perfectly, but job well done.

Lovely guitar....
This was the first new electric guitar I’ve bought in 25 years. My other is a Gordon Smith 2 60, which has been a brilliant guitar, but I’ve wanted a single coil instrument for a while. This Fender has a lovely compact body with contouring, a fixed bridge and two single coils. The body is a fair bit smaller than a Strat, and this shows in the weight. It’s very comfortable to wear for a long time. The neck is a comfortable C section, and it was nicely set up straight out of the box. The single coil tones are everything I wanted, combining with the light weight and 25.5” scale to give a really tight poppy yet smooth sound. The transparent red finish is very well applied, and all the controls have a quality feel to them. All in all, I’m delighted, and it was also delivered in only two days.

Plan on having the guitar professionally setup
Obviously Amazon isn’t going to go through these and set them up like a retail guitar store does. Mine came with the string heights all wrong and way too much relief in the neck. Also had a couple slightly tall frets that needed to be leveled and crowned to play with low action. The neck on mine has some small pin knots in it but overall the grain is pretty straight. Not the best piece of maple but also not the worst.Only other minor thing is some chips in the edge of the pickguard. Not a huge deal but it’s something that wouldn’t pass QC in the more expensive Fenders.Overall with a good setup it’s a fun guitar and can be made to play well. The Alnico 2 humbuckers are pretty bright sounding but nice.
