Elastic Ankle Brace for Gymnastics Dance Support-S L

Bought a size up assuming some swelling. Chart said Med, I ordered him a large. Good thing I did. Even getting it on, would have been a no go with a Medium. My advice is order up a size and if you suffer edema, maybe order up 2 sizes. Simple and it works quite well for a little extra support. Hand washes great. Don't put this in the dryer people ... you should know better.

I ordered this for general ankle support. I wear a women’s 12, mens 11 1/2. I ordered the large per the size chart included. It is way too tight. And if I’d really had a sprained ankle, there would be no way I could have got this on my foot. I’m going to have to order up a size so the circulation in my foot will come back.

I returned this because the sizing guide was completely useless. I supposedly fit squarely into the L category but I could not even get this on over my foot. Mind you, my measurements fell at the small end of that category -- and I still couldn't even get it on! I have another ankle support exactly like this one and know that this figure eight type really does work -- but you have to be able to rely on their sizing and you really can't with this brand. Keep looking. I gave this 3 stars solely because it appeared to be well made.

This brace is made of material that has very little elasticity which makes it challenging to receive the correct size and most difficult to put the brace on your foot. I ordered a size 'Large' when my normal size 'medium' in this style of brace wouldn't fit. I am unable to get enough stretch of the material to get the brace beyond the ball of my foot unless I put it on upside down (tag at top per instructions). Once on, the brace does give support, however it appears that many of the elastic cords have already failed (see image). Enough will be broken at some future point that there will be little to no support. Most discouraging since I have other braces of this design that are over 7 years old (see image)! This brace has been worn 10 times and has not been washed, so all wear/damage to the material/elastic cords that is shown is due to donning and removing the brace. Find something else until a better quality material is used - as was in the past manufacturing of these.

I have bought a few of these. And the sizing varies widely. I bought a size small and it fit perfectly! And it was fabulous. So I bought another one, but that one was way too tight and caused me to lose circulation in my foot. So then I bought a medium, that one fit OK. So I bought another medium, and that one is too big. If It fits well, it’s great! If not, it’s a problem. I also bought a medium sized one for a friend, and it was too tight. So then I bought her a large, and it was too loose.
