Fits with room to shrink & supports low-low back
I’ve bought several back braces in recent months. I’m not terribly small by any means, but they’re always too big for me. I’m 5’5”, 150 lbs, & have a 30” waist. This is the first brace I bought that actually snugs up more than I need! I really like the extended tail of the brace since that’s where my problems are in my back. The curve over the hip area could be a bit more generous for me personally, but it’s much better than the rectangular no-curve braces I’ve tried. My only other complaint is that, again, I’m not terribly small, but the waist portion of the brace is a bit taller than my natural waist. In other words this brace acts a bit like a below-the-bust corset both in the front and in the back (curse you back-fat). Because it has the curve for the hips, I can slide the brace down a bit lower so I’m not pushing the girls too high up my chest. I rode my horse in it the other day and it was flexible enough for me to flow with her movement, but stiff enough to keep me from over flexing my damaged lower back. The lower tail does interfere with the back of my saddle a bit, especially when my horse gets a little rambunctious and I get left behind her movement enough to catch the tail on the cantle of my saddle. It also pinches my bum between the tail & cantle of my saddle until I adjust it to sit slightly higher or lower, depending on my needs.Under my clothes it is almost invisible and, since it acts a bit like a corset, it’s kind of flattering even. In the attached photos you can’t tell I’m wearing it & to me that’s worth 5*s especially since it does its job protecting my back too. The tail comes down about the same as my purple shirt-tail. The top is a few inches below my bra-line. Since I tighten it basically like a corset, you can see a little poof of back-fat above it. However, it’s not very noticeable & again, since it does it job supporting my back, I’ll take a little cosmetic hiccup.I still give it 5*s because it is the best I’ve found so far.

Helps with back injuries.
It helps hold my muscles firmly in place, when I'm working around the house. I recently pulled a muscle in my back which prompted me to get this brace. It feels great on.

I like this brace.
Light and comfortable. I wear a light under shirt under the brace then add the rest of my clothes

Nicely tall, good size, breathable. Stays cause butt sores.
Good: breathability, size, and slim material might actually fit under work clothes. The support would be better if I’ve had sores for two weeks after wearing only a couple of times two days in a row. The stays are way too long, uncushioned, and poorly designed, digging into the butt. I hadn’t noticed at first because the preexisting pain was so much more. Now, I have to be careful what I wear, sitting, and laying down to sleep until they heal.Decided to try removing the stays and check it out, because the shape reaches long enough on my torso for me, and many don’t, so that’s a huge bonus. Maybe make the stays removable by leaving the seams open an inch along the side at the top by the waist seam, which is how I removed them. I hope the rest of the seam doesn’t come undone. Easily added with no design or material changes necessary, just knot the thread at a different spot.Perhaps consider different optional stays from light to firm support or for the spinal stays, strong tiny magnet beads embedded in a very flexible matrix. For these lighter flexible stays I’d either make the stay pockets so they open and close and/or include a tool to get them in place. But, it should have separate lower and upper straps since the waist and hips have vastly different sizes. The current mode of cris-crossing the wide fine supports means I can either support the upper half of the problem or the lower half, although I appreciate the main Velcro connection for ease of donning. Two of any of the supports is always too bulky. I can set it to hold the sacral or the lumbar, not both simultaneously. In the past few minutes, without the stays, at least the sores aren’t getting the hard friction. But I also still can’t completely tighten it for better stability. I have a health condition associated with migraines and fibromyalgia that makes my skin crazy sensitive to touch at random times and even a regular cotton T-shirt hurts. Strangely, the controlled pressure itself isn’t much of an issue, but the slightest scratchy or itchy sense can cause full body flare ups for hours or days.Still looking for a breathable slim one that supports upper and lower with proper individual control correctly, can be worn against the skin, super soft, and quick hand rinse and dry. Oh, and affordable. So many rather affordable ones are available that do only a couple of those things.

perfect for my needs
The best back brace yet! It is longer, so it covers more of your back and butt. I can garden for hours without pain.

Great Support for your Back &
This back brace is my best friend. Adjustable straps in back makes it easily to tighten as much as you want as well. Brace is comfortable and doesn't get hot wearing it even in hot weather. Takes a little adjusting with the straps to make it your personal tight fit. It's worth trying this brace because it definitely helped take away most of my back pain. Great support.
