I wanted to try out one of these monitor light bars and ended up liking this one so much that I bought another for my second screen. There are so many lookalikes of this style of product, but I liked this model because of its simplicity. Not having to deal with another remote dongle helps to keep my desk setup clean, but I still wanted to get a light of decent quality.Pros:+ The backlight actually works well to add ambient illumination in low light. It's not too bright, but it gets the job done.+ The touch controls are decently responsive with only a light tap, and the operation of dimming and changing color modes is intuitive. Since you don't have to press too hard to activate the switches, knocking the lamp out of position isn't really a concern. This was my favorite feature from the outset, as the reduced complexity helps to keep things neat.+ USB C power connectivity means that this can be used with alternative cables quite easily+ The anodized aluminum body gives the lamp a premium look, and likely helps to dissipate heat from the LEDs which should improve their service life+ Three color modes gives flexibility without overwhelming with too many options. It's actually pretty clever: there are cool and warm white LED in the unit. It switches between them for cool/warm light and uses both for neutral white light. I mostly use it in warm light mode.+ The mount for the light is well designed. It uses a combination of a gentle spring and a counterweight to keep the lamp in position at the top of the monitor. Especially thoughtful is the small lip at the front, which helps to prevent overlap with monitors that have small bezels, but your mileage may vary.+ The beam pattern works as advertised. It puts light exactly where I need it without glaring into my face. It also doesn't wash out the light on my monitor either. The wide band of light creates diffuse shadows on my work surface, in contrast to the desk lamp I was using before.+ It has superbly minimal design. The body of the lamp has some regulatory compliance stuff and info printed on the back facing away from the user, but nothing else. No branding, no toggles, no status lights. It just sorta goes away. Only comes in black, but that's OK for me.Cons and places for improvement:- The included cable is decidedly meh. Be aware that it is a type A to type C cable, so some laptop users may need to power it off of a hub or with a different cable. It's long-ish, but users who wanna tuck it into a monitor arm or have their PC/power supply below their desk (especially with a standing desk) might need something a bit longer. For what it's worth though, it gets the job done, and I'm sure the manufacturer found it to be the ideal balance to keep the lamp's price competitive- Cool blue light is kinda useless for a product marketed at reducing eye fatigue. The light intensity just isn't bright enough to justify the color. Some might like it, but I would prefer that the space be used for neutral or more warm LEDs.- The counterweight on the mount is decently hefty, but the spring on the clamp is a bit weak. The mount doesn't move around when I adjust the height of my desk, but I wouldn't expect it to hold up to too much jostling- Not everyone really cares about this, but I'd like to see more sustainable packaging materials in the future. That said, there wasn't too much single-use plastic in the boxThe OOWolf light bar may have a goofy name, but it appears to be a well built product. Build quality seems good, and the design and functionality is thoughtful and straightforward. At 40 bucks, I'd say it hits the sweet spot in terms of value for monitor lights. I wouldn't want to spend any more, but I'd be leery of cheaping out too much on something I'll be using daily. Can't speak for the long term performance since I've only had it for a day, but LEDs driven at only 5W shouldn't dim out too badly. I also don't know how good OOWolf's customer service is since I've yet to have issues, but a 1 year warranty indicates a show of good faith to their customers.

So I bought this product on Prime Day 2022, and used it ever since when using at night. And as of right now, it still works and have no issues. When using, I prefer warm light; sometimes I change to natural when I want to. The lamp can get bright as well. You will get the hang of it when you use the controls. Moreover, the build quality is excellent and it does not feel cheap.Therefore, this is a good lamp if you don’t want to spend a lot of money.

I've been using this light for one month. Here's what I think...———PROS———It works perfectly for my 15" laptop + 27" monitor setup on a 6' desk. I have the light situated 2' above my work surface. It lights up a desk surface area of about 3' or 3.5' as workable task lighting. The light also provides ample ambient light across the rest of the desk surface, just not bright enough for use as a significant source of task lighting.I don't use the back light that shines on the wall often, but it has been useful on occasion if I want a more ambient light in an otherwise dark room.I also haven't had any issues with screen glare, nor do I find the light shining in my face when properly fitted on my screen.———CONS———I wish the light was another 100-300 lumens brighter for a brighter work area and greater spread of light to edges of my admittedly-large desk area.The touch controls can leave something to be desired, though they haven't been too much of an issue since I basically set it and forget during a work session. I recently had one of the two buttons become unresponsive for an unknown reason. After leaving the light unplugged from power overnight, the light seemed to "reboot" itself and work fine the next day (refer to customer service note below). Still, it can be clunky getting the touch-sensitive controls to work as desired on first try both for changing the light temperature and for adjusting the brightness of the light.I also have experienced the light turning on due to fluctuations in power (whether due to outage or my laptop randomly turning on from sleep mode); but, I'm less concerned about that since my office is in a separate room of my house and cannot affect anybody's sleep and the LEDs should last for a LONG time anyway. Still, for me, this has been a very infrequent occurrence and easily remedied by unplugging the light at night as a precaution if you're worried about it.———CUSTOMER SERVICE———When one of the touch-sensitive buttons was unresponsive, I contacted the seller via Amazon thinking I was going to need a replacement. As noted above, by the next morning and before they even had time to respond, the light was operating as expected again. Still, the company was incredibly responsive and helpful. They were more than willing to send a new light if I wanted a replacement. Thinking that seemed wasteful if the light was functioning properly again, I opted against doing so. However, the company went out of their way to assure me that based on this early scare in performance of the light, they're willing to make a policy exception should a similar issue happen later outside their typical warranty period. Needless to say, I was pleased with my experience and hope the light works well for years to come.———YAY / NAY———Definitely would purchase this light again. Solid value relative to other options available coupled with 5-star customer service.

I cannot say enough about the Oowolf monitor light bar. It is easy to setup and very sturdy sitting on the monitor. It has a rubberized counterweight that sits on the back of your monitor. But the amount of light it gives off is enough to light your desk without all that eyestrain from your standard gooseneck desk light. There are so many features (brightness and temperature) that this light can be adjusted to your exact mood. The only drawback is the backlight. Since my monitors are on dual arms attached to my desk, the light is too far away from the back wall for the backlight to offer much light. The controls are so easy and they are touch activated. The switch on the right turns it on and adjusts the brightness. Simply hold the power button and you get a step-less brightness control. The switch on the left side of the light does the same but for temperature. The only thing I am disappointed with this light is I didn't order a 2nd one for the other monitor!!!

Very well built...mostly aluminum sturdy build (not plastic). Plenty of adjustment for colour temperature and brightness with the small control "puck" which only takes 2 AAA batteries instead of 3 like some of the other options and based on the way it works, the batteries should last a very long time. Lots of downlighting on your desk/keyboard and a subtle backlight on the wall behind your monitor, both of which can be turned on/off independently. The only issue I have is that the brightness can on be turned up/down for both lights...so you can't have one bright and one dim. Outside of that, this is perfect and I'm extremely happy...as are my eyes after a long time at my desk.

I'd buy another one for my office, they wouldn't pay, though.Good lighting, no glare, choice of colour temperature, and the fact that has both back and front lightning, which can be controlled separately is a win. I use to watch (Amazon) movies on my big screen - I turn off all the lights n the room, the front light of the lamp, and only leave the back one.Remote control - seriously?? you can barely see the inscriptions in good light (and there's 5 of them). Forget in dim light or dark. I usually turn on another light just to be able to use the remote

Ich besitze diese Monitorlampe schon seit über einem Jahr und ich benutze sie jeden Tag. Sie ist für mich die perfekte Monitorlampe für jede Situation. Sie besteht aus hochwertigem Aluminium und Kunststoff, das sehr leicht und langlebig ist. Die Monitorlampe hat eine Länge von 41 cm und passt auf die meisten Monitore. Sie verfügt über zwei Lichtquellen: ein Hauptlicht auf der Vorderseite und ein Hintergrundlicht auf der Rückseite. Das Hauptlicht beleuchtet den Schreibtisch gleichmäßig, ohne Blendung oder Flimmern. Das Hintergrundlicht erzeugt eine angenehme Atmosphäre, ohne zu blenden oder zu stören.Ich mag diese Monitorlampe, weil sie praktisch, komfortabel und vielseitig ist. Sie hat eine Fernbedienung, mit der ich die Farbtemperatur (warmes Licht, natürliches weißes Licht und kaltes weißes Licht) und die Helligkeit (10 Stufen von 10 % bis 100 %) des Hauptlichts und des Hintergrundlichts separat einstellen kann.
