Works For The Small Batch DIYer
I make a DIY mostly oil face cream. In the past, it would melt in hot weather so I got this thickener to make the cream thicker and also keep the oils and shea butter suspended better.Since using these Acrylates in my face cream, the appearance of my face cream is better and the texture feels better on my face. It has a thicker consistency most definitely and doesn’t appear simply as oils.I have to admit that I didn’t measure it. I simply put in just a little at a time until the appearance and thickness looked and felt right to me. I read about the correct amount to use. But since I only make my face cream one cup at a time, I felt more comfortable just going by appearance and feel. And with us DIYers make such small batches, this small container will last a long time!As far as how my cream will hold up in daily heat, since it is still winter, the true test will occur during the hot summer months. At that point, if it’s performance changes, I will update my review.

Good
Performs as expected. Used this in a conditioner and a face cream, both turned out exactly how I wanted. It's not a huge bag, but it's $12, and it should last a while.

great results
I have used one other cross polymer in my skin care products and really had a great experience with it so I knew that I was gonna have a good experience with this as well. This one is a little bit different in that it makes the formula a little bit thicker the other one I have is more of an emulsifier. This one is more of a thickener and so I made a heavy face cream and this made it have a really nice texture and helped blending ingredients together, so I would definitely recommend this

High Quality
Crosspolymer 50 GM - $12.99This seems to be great quality. Very pure.Sadly, it's quite small. The photos were 'puffed out' or something to make it look fuller. It's super flat. I have a hard time understanding numbers of weight, volume, etc. and so this one fooled me. I thought there would be more. It's gluten free though, according to their website. And gluten free items are always more expensive. We have one with Celiac Disease, and she's just getting into makeup age. It occurred to us that she will never be able to wear most makeup. So we got this to start experimenting with making gluten free, wheat free makeup, soaps, and lotions for her.I wish there was more bang for the buck here, but at least it's a start!

Effective for emulsions
Currently implementing this crosspolymer in some of my emulsion-based formulas. I started at the bottom end of the recommended range of 0.2-3% by weight, and it has improved the skinfeel and stability of a cream mask and emulsified lotion so far. I'm currently also experimenting with it in a spray lotion and hair conditioner. Very convenient to have a niche ingredient like this available in a reasonable quantity.

Sample size of Crosspolymer, great emulsifier and surficant for skin products
This is a review of an Amazon Vine product. That said, I try to be honest and open in all my reviews. The C10-30 comes in a resealable plastic bag. You get 50 grams of it. (That is a bit less than 2 oz.)It is pure and the product is consistent. It is designed to be used with 0.2-3% water solution. When properly mixed and combined with other enablers, you get a firm, clear gel.The product is very good, and I was able to suspend and dispense a variety of oil and water mixtures using the C10-30 as a base. This is not for the casual user. The 0.2-3% is by weight. So, you need a good scale that can measure to the gram at a minimum. You should not use regular tap water for the best results. The term of art in the cosmetic world is DI (de-ionized). A decent subsitute is distilled water. To get the best results, you will want to use Triethanolamine as a Ph balancer and stabilizer. Use this a drop at a time, but it makes a big difference. All in all, it is a good product though for $11 you do not get very much, and it is more for the professional or "pro-sumer" cosmetic makers.

Crosspolymer
I make a lot of diy skin serums and I am always trying to improve my recipes. I have been wanting to try this product for a while now in order to improve their texture/thickness. My current recipes tend to end up with a high pH and when I adjust it downward, they thin out more than I would like. This product helps twofold. Because it has a low pH to begin with, it seems to help balance out the end product. Secondly, it prevents it from thinning, maintaining a nice silky texture. I did a UR of about 1%. I pre-dissolved it in DI water. It gels up immediately but doesn’t clump. It has a corn starch texture. This is a great price and I love MYOC products, they are the best!
