A good purchase for home decoration, purchased 3
Great idea. Good quality. Purchased 3. Will protect hard flooring (did not have carpets) from not too heavy builders traffic. Have light waterproof cover on the back. But it will not keep so for long. After 30+ mins or so the liquid will pass thru. I am not sure it will be ok for stairs, unless there are gaps in between to put it thru, but for floors it is ok. We put it under sofa, etc. too when moving them.

Great stuff!!
Perfect for protecting hard flooring. I put this down to protect my vinyl click flooring during house renovations. This stuff worked a treat with plasterers and builders coming in and out of the house. This floor covering proved to be water resistant, wear resistant and very easy to use. No issues with slipping and very good for intense traffic. My plasterers were very impressed even though they were a little nervous when I told them before hand that I would sort out the flooring protection myself. (In their minds I think they thought I would throw some plastic sheet down). This stuff however is not good to use on carpet. I would recommend this only for hard flooring ie. vinyl, laminate, etc etc.

Great durable floor covering.
This product is made from industrial packaging cardboard laminated with some dark plastic (like a bin bag ironed on both sides). It feels quite stiff and sturdy, and comes on large rolls so it's quite easy to lay. We joined the pieces with gaffer tape and covered the seams with masking tape to protect our wooden floor during renovation work.I deducted a star since one of the two rolls we purchased had been made from card which had occasional holes punched in it - so at regular intervals there was only the thin plastic coating and no card. However, these were small and overall we're happy with the product and the result. We have yet to remove the protection so don't know exactly how well it has protected - but it looks to be a good protective layer.Update - removed it after nearly a month with work being done and our wooden floor was pristine. So yes, it works well!

Worked great
Perfect for protecting new floor and counters during kitchen refit. Stayed in place with masking tape despite heavy foot fall.Very durable, paint and water easily kept away from the floor. Offcuts that were in the skip and exposed to heavy rain were still as new, does make me wonder about the statement it’s able to be recycled.

Saved our Amtico during building work!
I bought this to protect our floors during building work - the work was being done in the back garden and the only access route was through the entrance hall and kitchen. We have dark walnut Amtico through the hall and cream porcelain tiles in the kitchen so we were really keen to protect the floors with the landscapers walking through every day for two weeks. The stuff came in a large roll which was easy to lay down along the floors. We laid it in long strips, overlapping several strips where necessary to ensure we got the coverage where the floor widened. We stuck it down using Frog masking tape, the tape was absolutely required.I was so impressed (and relieved) with how well this floor protector coped with the wear and tear during two weeks of work. After the landscapers had finished each day I swept up any dust, sand, soil etc, this proved easy to do without disturbing or lifting the floor protector.Obviously the landscapers did not drag anything along the floor, they were very careful! But even so the floor protector did a great job withstanding dirty boots, materials etc. It didn't rip or tear anywhere.Once the job was finished I just peeled up all the tape, rolled up the flooring protector and put it in the plastic recycling. No issues on the Amtico or tiles at all, apart from dust around the edges of where the protector had been.Only one slight niggle was a few very small holes in the protector at regular intervals on some of the strips,I guess this was something during the manufacturing process. However they were very small and I put some masking tape across each one, no issues. We had plenty left over and it's in the loft ready for a future job. Highly recommended.

Saved my floor and my sanity
As usual the whole house renovation is in the wrong order and due to scheduling the wooden floor had to go in before other things were finished. This product works (thank god). Rolled it out and cut it with heavy duty scissors, it reminds me of what a milk carton is made from. And like others mentioned I duct taped it down along all the edges. Since fitting it, the plasterer and Electrican have been and a kitchen has been fitted. The workmen simply ripped it up and stuck it back down as they worked around the kitchen. Their tools, boxes and debris have badly scuffed it. But I went round and taped more over the top and the floor survived. Great stuff!

Quality not great
Bought this to put down when moving house recently. I was very disappointed when trying to unroll it, as it was all stuck together. Had to waste a huge amount to sort this out. Once unrolled the product is ok, thickness good but you need good quality tape to hold it down. Wouldn’t buy again

Brilliantly protected my wood floors for two weeks
Just used these across a lounge and hallway for about 12-14 days of renovation and they've been brilliant. I had my floors done ahead of other works that needed doing and wanted to make sure my new wood floors remained in good condition. These did the trick. We had wallpapers stripped, ceilings and walls replastered, door frames changed etc. so you can imagine the amount of dirt, water and debris going onto these and they've been able to withstand it all... and as stated, for quite a long period of time. There was a bit of dust that managed to seep through some parts, but that probably more due to me not taping up properly.I'd highly recommend a strong tape, not masking tape! Use a tape that's going to withstand water/dust and have good strength. Gorilla tape is overkill, but something along those lines.
