Resaws Logs Great Powerfull!
This bandsaw works really good cuts through hardwood like butter. I use to resaw logs into planks then put them through my thickness planer. It has a large throat opening I do 12 inch diameter logs easily. I am going to get a different fence for it the fence is kind of wonky. Probably a Craig fence. Really like the light on it for when I am cutting. Stand is nice and is the right height for me. The legs could be a little more heavy duty they are a little thin metal. Overall nice saw though. Has nice drawer to help collect the sawdust too.

Wen is underrated
I have a lot of Wen tools. Most people don’t understand the history of Wen. It’s a long standing company. This bandsaw is big! Heavy duty and easy to set up. I had it up and running in 30 minutes even with a tune up of the blade and guide bearings. I must warn you, it’s over 200lbs and will need some help lifting. The circle jig is amazing and has a leg up on other bandsaws. I chose this unit over the Rikon for 2 reasons; price and circle cutting jig. I’m confident in Wen tools. Don’t let the cheaper price fool you.

Very Pleased
I just purchased this saw to replace an old Craftsman that finally gave up (100+ years old). I was leery at first, because I have never had a WEN product and personally I wanted to stay away from products from China. But, that is not possible anymore. All of the bandsaws I reviewed (Delta, Nikon, Jet, etc.) were made in China. American companies, but made in China. I initially wanted a cast iron table, but that jacked the price up more than I wanted to pay. So, the first thing I checked was the flatness of the aluminum table. It was flat. This saw has a lot of the features of the more expensive saws and is very solid. The only reason it did not get 5 stars is the miter gauge. Not sure why they felt like it had to be a T-slot fit, but it is not a good idea. I still need to try and make the gauge slide freely, but have not messed with it much yet. It should have been just your standard slot. I don't use the miter gauge much, so it is not a big deal, but if you are going to go to the trouble to machine a T-Slot and make the mating gauge to slide in it, then it should work smoothly. At least it wasn't like the Delta saw that you have to pay extra for the fence and the miter gauge. This has plenty of power for ripping hardwood and tracks well. I just ordered some thinner blades, because it comes with a 1/2" for ripping. Which is fine, but most of my work is more detailed. Probably because I have never had a saw I could rip with. If this last 100+ years, then my grandkids will be using it :-)

Easy to assemble, no adjustments necessary
Easy to assemble and was adjusted perfect from the factory. I also own a Wen 10 inch band saw and the additional features on this 14 inch are well worth the price.

It has a lot of power
The bandsaw arrived early which was quite nice. First thing I did was check the packaging there appeared to be no damage. So, I was quite pleased at that point. I moved the package into my new workshop that I am setting up as I am getting ready for retirement. Opened it up and I could not believe just how bent the base was!!! So, I sat and thought about what to do. As I was looking at the damage and saw just how cheaply the base was made. I realized that do to how heavy this bandsaw is no matter how many they sent me they would all be bent!!! So, i decided to try and fix it. Once I managed to restraighten it, to where I thought it would work ok, I then fixed the leg kit on and that seemed to straighten out what I was not able to bend back. So, now you can hardly tell other than the damage to the plastic drawer which is quite bad!!!! Once the new blades arrived, I was able to try it out as the blade that comes on it is absolutely garbage!!!! really bad!!! I was surprised at just how much power it does have!!! I was presently surprised!!! I was able to resaw 8-inch white oak very easily!! It did not bog down in anyway no matter how hard I pushed the piece through. But this was with blades that I had bought!! Not the piece of garbage that comes on it!! The basic bandsaw is not too bad. The height adjuster to adjust the thickness of cut. It has too much movement from front to back!!! This will cause a lot of problems with the thrust bearings on it!! And cause the blade not to be able to be set properly in the upper guide. Which can cause the blade not to be able cut straight and wonder and burn the thrust bearing out!! But this is an easy fix!! For the amount of money that this bandsaw costs they could have made a lot better mounting brackets to mount the table on and a much better table for it!! And much better guides for it!! I guess the question is would I recommend this band saw! For someone that is a beginner and never used a bandsaw no! For someone that just wants one for DIY with some experience and was wanting extra cutting depth maybe!!!! I have used bandsaws for over 50 years to do specialized work!! Why I bought this bandsaw. I wanted one that had a decent resaw cut capacity and was portable enough that I could move it around very easily. That, I would not have to worry about electrical wiring in the basement or replacing any electrical breakers and this seem to fit what I was looking for. With the upgrades and the modifications, I will be doing. It probably will end up being a pretty good bandsaw!! with this one weighting around 130 pounds verses the bandsaws that would not required all these modifications they were just too heavy 220 pounds plus and having to worry if the electrical wiring and breaker were good enough for a much more powerful bandsaw!! It is such a shame they could make this a really nice bandsaw!! But this is what happens when you try to be too cheap focusing on a DIY Begners market!

Very Pleased.
I love this band saw. This table saw cuts so true that I can now make my own veneer with it. I used the supplied blade and ripped a piece of oak into an 18 inch long, 1.17 mil thick sliver that was as close to perfect as you can get. I also tested out the supplied circle cutting jig to cut a 10 inch circle that was pretty close to perfect as well . Puts the other off brand table top band saw I had to complete shame! The one bad thing I can say is that one of the threaded holes for the legs was stripped out so I had to come up with a way to attach but I did manage to get it attached securely. Also, was a royal pain to level out the legs and eventually gave up on it and just shimmed the offending leg as I put it on a portable base anyway.

It is a hobby tool. not a professional team
overall it is a good buy. The engine is silent and powerful, the guides are functional. It has very little vibration. the tape are not good for cutting thick material. I will buy another replacement. If you are looking for fun like me then this is perfect
