Good light for pathway

I’ll be honest, I didn't have very high hopes but Ive been amazed by how good these are. They didn't fit our original plan for a side alleyway, but I tried them next to our garden path and they look amazing.One of the reasons for buying these was their 3 functions and I honestly can't fault them.Delivered next day, charged in a day, fully operational. The light is very bright when it picks you up, I now have these on the lowest setting as that's enough to guide you and then light up the path as you start to come close. They last pretty much all night on this setting, certainly still seen them on at 0430 in October near London. Left for work after that so didn't see them go off, but I'm quite impressed with that duration.Very happy with the brand. They are certainly better made than many I've seen, and should last a long time.I will now look to their other offerings for my alleyway!Very happy to recommend

The media could not be loaded. This is a pretty lamp and is well made. Although I was surprised that the spike bit is plastic when the rest of the main construction is quality metal. The plastic spike isn't weak but it isn't that strong either. It flexes slightly and if it got up against resistance I fear it could snap, so go easy with it.The lamp looks great illuminated and has a pleasant warm glow.The battery life seems great. The sensor works well. The solar panel looks good quality too.

The light appears well made, metal tubes (hard plastic spike) no sharp edges and nicely finished. Its also bright easily lighting a 3m space from its centre point so 6m diameter to enable you to see what you are walking on. Good settings from always on to increased brightness to sensor mode for 25 seconds at full brightness. A large 14.3cm diameter solar panel on top should ensure in sensor mode you never have battery issues, based on all of this I would rate 4 stars (dropped star as its expensive I feel at £50 at the time of reviewing) so why 2 stars?Well the first issue is this is only Ip44, which means its fine for occasional water splashes only, so not suitable for heavy rain - something we often get! IP44 is considered the minimum rating for outdoor use but personally I would say in sheltered positions only so not out in the rain.The second issue is the light has a metal rim around the top and the LED panel sits inside this - while it looks like its sealed so will give some protection it does mean when it rains water will stay sat in the top, its only 1-2mm but enough to have standing water, even if angled some water will sit on the top which isnt ideal, would have been better if it was raised and rounded so water suns off the surface.While the light is bright, works very well, and well constructed, unfortunately I don't feel with the IP44 rating it would last very long with downpours - Yes you could place it under a tree or sheltered somehow but then how will it receive sunlight to charge?

Item is sturdy, the body being made of metal. Good illumination due to its large capacity lithium battery (compared to AA or AAA rechargeable batteries). 3 illumination options are very useful and versatile. Very large solar panel for solar energy gathering.
