I would make this review no star if I could. My product was a fraud. While it is a fortinet, it was stamped with an invalid tag over the older model number. You might say this makes not a huge difference but it does because it makes it available to cyber attacks from Asian territories! That is why my computer nerd cousin made me take it back. He said it also makes it hard for the internet to sync somehow with all the devices. In his words that were really techy and basically meant that because the device is not made for American territory but Asian it will cause some bandwidth (not sure exactly if bandwidth is the correct term here I’m just trying to repeat kinda what he said he’s way smarter than me at this stuff) type issues. He also said because it isn’t locked basically for the US countries anyone could try to hack it for the original country the part is for which in this case was Asian territories specifically. And he found the problem when he said he was setting up our business computers and it wasn’t working as fast as it should. So if you don’t mind the whole “could be hacked” thing it also doesn’t work as well!! And to think they try to dupe anyone who doesn’t have a cool as tech nerd cousin like me. On god. Love my cousin though, just made me get the product direct fromFortinet. He also noted that because this product had been sent late in the game that if I wanted to use the warranty it was expired since the one year it was on the shelf waiting to be sent out in whatever warehouse it was in made it expire. Basically get it from the actual seller not an a to b to c market. Like, seriously a waste of my time and it really was money in this case. Also now I cannot get a full refund because they’re making me wait. Eventually I will get a full refund but due to the negligence the whole claim is being investigated!! Stay off this product. It’s faulty and not the item pictured. And THEY LIED. Hate liars.

First impression was bad, the box was not even sealed. It looks like it was once packaged in bulk and they took this individual unit and slapped a shipping label on it without sealing the box. Fortunately it does not appear to have been opened or damaged in shipping.As a whole, I like FortiAP and its integration into the FortiGates, it's very easy to setup and manage. This product works as advertised, no defects.However I was extremely disappointed to register my brand new AP and find that while it has 1 year of hardware replacement warranty, it only has 3 months of firmware updates! As FortiOS on the gates evolves they are quickly dropping older AP models and firmware versions, so firmware support should be much longer.

Bought it to integrate into an existing Fortinet firewall. Would not detect it on the DMZ port so only on LAN network. When finally finding the right combination of profile settings etc to allow devices to see / connect, performance was less than a consumer grade Linksys WAP mou Ted in the same location . ( linksys reached 12 of 12 devices, FortiAP only 3 ). I really had high hopes for this AP and wish I could give a better recommendation but I ended up returning it.

Slow and no supportFirst issue was that it was not very clearly marked that a separate power supply needed to be ordered however that was easily resolved the real issue came when it arrived I hooked it up and configured it and it worked but the speed was limited to one megabit per second where is the router I’m trying to replace shows a 175 Mb per second I then registered it and tried to get support however according to Fortinet this units warrantee and supported all expired 3 to 9 months ago which meana or was used and not marked as such

We have used many Fortinet products in the past. Th 223E was no exception. It works well and arrived as promised.

I purchased this item. New in box.When I attempt to register the product, the manufacture states it is already registered with a non-approved reseller.This reseller has not responded to my multiple attempts to resolve this.Would NOT recommend this seller.
