Q: Can you use it without the screen protector? I don't need it and don't want it to cover up my speakers or microphone.

No, the screen protector is built into the front half of the case; front and back pieces snap together around the phone. That being said, there are openings in the screen protector over the microphone and speaker so I don't think you need to worry about those being covered.

Q: How do you open the case to put your phone in it?

Your phone should just snap into it.

Q: How does the kickstand work?

It folds out in a triangler shape allowing it to position phone horizontal or vertical. Mine is little hard to pull out, but does work will when out.

Q: Can i use this for my pixel 2 XL?

This one is for the pixel 2. Not the xl☹️ but you can look for one specifically!
