I actually returned this lock because I did not require the sash, but when I opened and looked at the lock I could just tell that it woukd have been an amazing lock.It is very heavy duty, looks really good and looks like it woukd be a really strong lock and value for money. Woukd definitely be easy to install, as would fit like other locks, and delivery was really quick, amazing service.

This is a good quality 5-lever mortice sashlock. The mechanism is smooth and positive. Fitting was relatively straight forward; it needed a lot more wood taking out of the frame to accept the striker plate than the old lock's plate. The only negative I found was that the face plate, despite being screwed into the door at the same time as the backset, was initially fouling the lock - preventing it from coming out when the key was turned. After a little 'tweaking' it was sorted but there shouldn't be that much free-play between the two to allow the face plate to foul the lock.

It is a well made lock - seems solid, heavy and works well

Great looking and extremely robust lock. Great price and better quality than most makes of the same price. One negative is it DOESN'T come with the keyhole covers as per images. As regards suitable for external doors? Only time will tell.

replaced with this yale 5 latch lock, as previouse new lock purchased was not as good a quarlity as this yale lock

Not much more expensive than the cheaper brands. Used in conjunction with the included receiver, this is a solid lock.

no problem with the lock in install.Until 7 years after fitting - then the key got stuck in the lock - would not turn and I couldnt remove the key either as it was half turned. Fortunately the door lock wasnt in locked position. In the end I had to drill a channel in the wooden door to get the lock out with the key stuck in.I did purchase another (same) lock as I wanted to match the holes already in the door and frame.Plus the door will be replaced in the spring anyway with a double glazed door.
