There are lots and lots of wood planks and thin-wooden-sheets of various shapes and sizes. The instructions are really poor. In retrospect, I wished I would have recorded a video to help others. Due to poor instructions, couple of holes did not align properly, and I ended up having to drill another set of holes.On the plus side, it looks just like the picture on the site. It is aesthetically pleasing. We purchased 6" tri-fold mattress, and it fits nicely inside. We mainly purchased this in guest room, but I would not recommend daily usage.I also wished the drawer and the wooden panels had better support.My suggestion is to start organize all pieces by the #s and start assembling each panel in sequence.At times the panels do feel wobbly. Good thing I have purchased extended warranty just in case.Overall it took me good 3-4 hours. I have built many cabinets and Ikea products but this so far was one the most unnecessarily complicated furniture I have assembled.

The media could not be loaded. I was intimidated from reading the reviews that it would be tough to assemble and honestly, it was but with the right preparation and organization of the pieces before putting it together made everything run smoothly.No one wants to put a ton of pieces together but it’s a Murphy bed, it’s going to be a unique furniture building experience but the end product is more than worth it.The bottom shelf on mine is slightly off on one side by 1/8 inch and I doubt anyone will notice but me. I added wood glue in some of the joints while putting it together because I’m all about over doing it to make it more sturdy and last longer.Conclusion, moderate/difficult build, very sturdy, looks good, all pieces went where they were supposed to.

This is by far and away the most terrible assembly experience my husband and I have ever had. We are seasoned cheap furniture builders. My husband is a mechanical engineer. We have built two kitchens from the studs up and more. None of that compares to trying to build this piece of crap. Where to start? The instructions and isometric drawings are practically useless. The materials are cheap. Pre fab drill holes are in the wrong place on some items. Stencils and stickers for labeled parts on some of the bags and parts near impossible to read. You just have to interpret which part you should be using. We spent 6 hours last night to get it built enough to put our 30 lb granddaughter to bed on. 20 mins later were heard a loud crack and found that the outer set of legs on the bottom had collapsed outward cracking the legs in half and breaking the frame. If it were possible to give this item zero stars….negative stars…..shoot it from a rocket into outer space. I would.

This queen size cabinet murphy bed is exactly what we were looking for and looks great. It fits into our Office/Spare bedroom perfectly! It functions well and hopefully will be comfortable, we will see what our guests have to say.The assembly instructions did not have any written directions, only pictures. This worked for the most part. If they had shaded some of the pieces in the directions, right side/wrong side, it would have helped. We had to look ahead and figure out what you would see to figure out which side was correct. There were predrilled holes for the screws to go into. They were not big enough, we enlarged and drilled all the holes before assembling. Otherwise we were stripping out the small screws. The holes were in the wrong place for the hinges! After assembling, the cabinet would not close. The Hinges were sticking out. Once we moved the pieces closer and drilled new holes, it closes perfectly.All the pieces were in separate zip lock bags, which were labeled with the parts #. The only issue we found with this was the small screws, 2 sizes, almost the same size, were in the same bag. We could not tell them apart!Of course, this product is made in China, so no 1-800 number to call. I did email thru the Amazon app but by the time we heard back, we had figured out any problems we were having!It took us 2 days to put together, mostly by 1 person.I do think this is a great piece and we are very happy with the end product!

Had ordered almost identical bed from another company and 5-7 weeks later hadn’t heard anything. I contacted them to find out they no longer had it in stock and hadn’t notified me. I looked on Amazo, found this one for &140.00 less than the sale price at the other company and it delivered in less than a week. I will admit it took me about 3 days to assemble it, but it is very sturdy and I can store the mattress, pillows, and bedding inside the cabinet. All in all I am happy with my purchase although I wish the gray was a little lighter shade. I ordered a 6 inch gel foam mattress and I sleep soundly. Can’t ask for more.

DO NOT PURCHASE THIS!!! After 1 use the frame/board in the front cracked and now can’t be used and when folded up has a large crack running down the front.Overall this product looks nice (except for one of the front drawer pieces having a large ding and missing a chunk of wood which we will have to fill and paint); however assembly is rather difficult due to various reasons.-the instruction booklet is not very clear for assembly-missing labels-mislabeled hardware pieces-hardware pieces missing-missing holes for where screws are supposed to be placed

Bed used 2 times and the frame broke PART TO PIECES. Bed is worthless.Would like some kind of compensation on my cost. It's unsuitable to be sold as a Queen size Murphy bed chest. It stated weight capacity up to 600 lbs. Persons using the bed was way lest then that.

I have left a previous review about the bad assmebly experience and cheap parts. Now that I had a guest and came to use it 2 days ago, as soon as my guest sat to lay down, it broke under them and I'm now disassembling it to throw is in the dumpster. Thankful that my gust was not injured.
