Junk.
I bought this specifically because Kingston is a reputable brand that's been around for years. But sadly, I got burned. After formatting it, I ran it in Crystal to test and benchmark, and it didn't even make it through the test before it died. After the second pass on the first write test, it dismounted and would only remount as read-only. It's kind of interesting, actually, because you don't usually see the files that Crystal writes. But there they are.I tried a couple of different computers. I even grabbed my RHEL laptop to see if I could repair it with Linux disk tools, but it's shot.Annoyingly, I tossed the packaging, so I can't return it. And since Kingston makes you send the defective item as part of their RMA process, I'm going to be out of pocket on what a higher-end Samsung drive would have cost, just to get a refurb Kingston drive that I won't trust.
