Q: Can i hook a garden hose to the drain outlet?

instructions say you can but I let the hose drain into my washing machine The dehumidifier is on a shelf over the washer. Great maching...iphlone app works well

Q: Why are there no black dehumidifiers?

There are, just not in the Honeywell brand. It might be due to dust showing up on the machine is more visible if black.

Q: How does one connect this to WiFi?? The manual does not offer instructions and the app is useless..

You need to go online. There is a small tag on the unit on the front with the site address.

Q: Does this dehumidifier notify you when the reservoir is full?

You can see the water level clearly as you fill the reservoir. You can also see the level while the unit is running / adding humidity. Additionally, there is a blue light while the unit is running as long as there is still water in the reservoir. Once the reservoir is empty the light changes to orange.
