Oh my!
Was handed a notice by my cardiologist to stop eating meat. I have/ had severe angina and a suspected heart attack. So a few months later, I am trying to re-learn how to cook and eat healthy. It’s been a very interesting journey. Reluctant and a very dubious husband. Recently visited Sydney for my son’s wedding after starting the journey to go meat free. Bored and long nights turned me to instagram and videos to help find more recipes. This is how I came across this amazing chef!Ordered this book as soon as we landed. What a fantastic book to help with every day life and the transitioning! Thank you so much! It’s an absolute game changer as it teaches you to do “scrambled eggs”, sausages and bacon. To us this is excellent news. The book is full of exciting new recipes to replace our bad habits. For anyone anti vegan… we feel so much better for changing and at the age of 53 there is absolutely no chance of us going back. Chest pain completely gone. So we are looking forward to a new journey with the help of this amazing book. Gaz, this book is incredible! Thank you so much for your detailed explanation of every single recipe. All looks and tastes yummy! Every day food for Norman people. Got lots of vegan cookbooks. This one is the star of the show!

Quality recipes - Not just for vegans...
Follow Gaz on youtube as i am really trying to cut out the meat and seek an alternative healthy lifestyle.I used to eat everything from fry ups at the cafe to mcdonalds,takeaways a bit of fine dining etc... , Gaz wasnt the one who made me rethink my unhealthy lifestyle - that was ' john joseph ' - check him out on youtube or via his book - this guy is a truly insperational human being , very to the point... Anyway , back to mr oakley. I am not one of these people jumping on the band wagon of Veganism, i just want to do my bit for the planet and cut eating flesh out of my diet completely and vegan100 is helping me do this. There are Some easy and alternative dishes from the book i am now Incorperating in place of meat in my diet now, like gaz's currys, burgers, pasta dishes and some great breakfast ideas in here aswell. Even if your not vegan, this book has some truly stunning dishes to add to your arsenal when cooking for yourself and friends or family. This is a wicked cook book and i will definately buy his new book soon aswell.

Best vegan cookbook for people who want to take their cooking to the next level
This is the best cooking book I've ever seen. The book itself is wonderful, it is so colourful and the presentation of the recipes is amazing. But most importantly, the recipes are delicious. One thing that I have to get out of the way first -- if you want recipes with 5 ingredients that take 15 minutes to make, this is not the book for you. This book is for people who have been cooking for a while, have developed skills for cooking and have more than 30 minutes to spare for cooking OR for people who want to take their cooking to the next level. If that is you, I don't doubt that this will be the perfect cooking book for you.I've been following Gaz on Youtube almost since the beginning of his channel and made a lot of his recipes at home and they were always delicious. I've already tried a couple of new recipes from the book and they were just as I suspected - delicious. This book contains a lot of "different" recipes that are hard to find elsewhere, like making your own vegan sausages, burgers and burger buns. Also, contains recipes for cooking essentials, like vegetable broth, BBQ sauce and cream. I will be cooking all of them, learning them by heart and then inviting friends for a dinner which will blow their minds.

Way too elaborate for my needs
I was interested to see what this book contained. The recipes are very impressive and if I was presented with any of the dishes in a restaurant I would gladly try it. Sadly creating gastronomic master pieces isn't high on my priority list at home. I prefer simple, quick recipes, bursting with flavour.I'm sure there's plenty of cooks that enjoy this book.

Great cookbook for everyone, not just vegans!
Great cookbook. Tasty recipes! Not simply great for a vegan cookbook, but just a great cookbook overall! Well written and easily followed but very tasty recipes. Even my meat eating friends and family have enjoyed these tasty recipes and did not miss the meat! You do not need to be vegan to enjoy the food in this cookbook! If you are looking at the possibility of going vegan, just fancy having a few meat free meals, or a family member has gone vegan and you have no idea what to cook for them, or you simply enjoy good food that is healthy yet flavourful...then this is the place to start! Everything is explained simply and the end results are always delicious.

Superb
I love this book. Packed full of brilliant recipes which no kitchen should be without because EVERYONE can eat this food, lactose intolerant people, flexitarians, omnivores, vegetarians and vegans.If I saw even a fraction of the creativity Gaz has towards food when eating out, being vegan would be so much easier. As it stands, we genuinely eat better at home most of the time than we do in restaurants (large cities like London are leading the way but even top end restaurants are disappointingly poor at the very limited range of vegan options and creative ideas elsewhere).I wish Gaz would start going to pubs, hotels and restaurants and give chefs some of his brilliant ideas and recipes because there's a huge skills gap in vegan cookery from what I see out there.Not with this book-which is packed full of ideas. I highly recommend it to everyone, vegan or not. The food showcased here is delicious, exciting and nutritious.An essential in every kitchen.

Lots of recipes so great value for money
I’m a bit addicted to buying vegan cookery books and I think I have all of Gaz Oakley’s. This was the first one of his I purchased and I really recommend…. some of the recipes are more complicated than others and have quite a substantial ingredients list, but definitely worth the extra effort. It’s packed full of some amazing dishes so great value for money. He is brilliant at making vegan food appealing and tasty.
