Buy it. It makes your back yard totally habitable all summer
Buy it. It’s cheap and works great for what it does! This pic does not have the bottom filled with water. When you fill it with water it becomes much more firm and is great for formal things. In our yard - we keep it zipped all the time and lift it to get in and out and don’t fill the ring because our small dogs have learned how to plow through to get inside. Ours gets a ton of wear and tear because we use our garden quite a bit everyday and the dogs are in and out of it all day and so far this one is great. However! This is my second one. The first one I got did come with a tiny hole.. I returned it and got this one. This is probably the best thing I’ve bougbt for my garden. We have a pond, and massive gardens that produce a ton of bugs.. this thing is magical. Honestly, I don’t use the zipper specifically to preserve it. The zipper does work, and I have used it - but i predict that with regular usage, a tear or hangup could occur - and I am in and out of the thing all day so I predict I would be wearing the zipper out fast if I used it - so i dont. I just keep it down and then lift to get in and out. I will say this - I second what someone else said. I would pay more to get one made with better materials for the zipper. I looked for a better one. Not using the zipper works for me, because I am not too picky and the screen keeps the bugs out, but id happily pay an extra $20 for one I know i could unzip all the time without issues. But I still love it. We grill and just go right into it to eat.. it’s totally bug free. We can see and hear them outside of it. I’m thrilled. I hope it lasts a long time, but honestly I’d buy it again next summer if I had to. We have had a lot of neighbors and friends ask about it as well. This has enabled us to sit outside on the patio at night to eat, hang out with friends... and just chill. If something happens and the thing gets holes or falls apart super fast I’ll edit review, but so far we use it a lot all day/night and it’s holding up. 5 stars!!

Very happy
Surprisely happy. I was skeptical with this purchase but my husband pushed for it. It does really well in windy weather, it's easy to set up and take down. I'm looking forward to bug free Summer nights.

Quite Good But Could Be Improved
I'm 5 ft tall with a short wingspan so I had a devil of a time getting this net set up. Had to use a step ladder to adjust the drawstring at the top (with the umbrella just partially open). The idea of it falling off every time I close the umbrella is more than obnoxious but I liked one buyer's suggestion to use binder clips on the netting at the ribs. That would be a major improvement. The other would be to find a better way than using water (or sand) to keep the base down and full circumference. All the mfgrs seem to use this tube idea and all I see online are complaints about leaks.Recently I bought a pair of huge garden bags that have a stiff plastic coil that inserts through a seam at the top to keep the bags wide open when you are dumping in weeds and leaves and debris. I think this would be a far superior solution than water.I just received mine so I don't know about the durability. I used the binder clips - they're a brilliant solution! Instead of water or sand, I just blew up the bottom tube with air to help the netting keep it's shape; works fine. As for the zipper, I'll just try to be careful. I do have a 16 lb. cat who's a brute so I don't know if it will survive the cat. It is thin netting, as it should be, so I will be fine if it lasts even one season and will be happy to purchase another next year. This is really cheap in terms of me being able to enjoy our outdoors without having flies and mosquitoes drive us inside. Worth every penny.

Poor man's gazebo!
Honestly all jokes aside, this was probably one of the best Amazon purchases I made in 2020. I wasn't sure if this product would be adequate, it came in such a small box, I was confused when it first arrived as to how it would fit over a 9ft umbrella. However, after draping it over the umbrella and weighing the bottom down with water, I realized this 'transformed' my patio table to feel more like an enclosed patio setup - keeps you free from bugs and will keep you dry if you choose to remain outside in light rain.As an added bonus - the weight of the netting also helps to keep the umbrella completely level and straight, even on windy days - always been an issue previously without any kind of netting. As much as I would like a full sized gazebo tent for my patio; I think this solution works. Plus come end of the season, drain the water and fold up the netting for easy storage.Only con I have is that the netting is fairly thin - it seems like it would be easy to tear / susceptible to weathering over time, but it's relatively inexpensive to replace after a few years as needed.

Everyone is right about the ZIPPER, wish I could give 3.5 starts
Wanted to directly let the seller know, but unable to figure out how. Just as many people have said, the zipper is terrible! Ours has a defect on the bottom, the stops are missing and one side was unraveled! Then the zipper pull came completely off! All on the first day! The netting is delicate but nice, even though it snags easily, but it does the job keeping insects out as long as you keep the zipper closed. I will not return it because I planned to sew my own zipper on, after reading the reviews and prior to purchasing it. I may apply Velcro instead because we have 2 small dogs and use our patio all of the time!Really does work best with a round umbrella. I have rectangular and round. Was a bear to install on the rectangular one, especially due to our patio furniture. I have a love seat 3 chairs, small storage unit and an umbrella table. Admittedly a lot of stuff, but with a 6.5' umbrella, it all fits well. I sort of recommend the purchase, but you have to know what you may be getting into. Could not find a rectangular netting.
