Get these NoW!
Amazing, fantastic definatly buy right now. These numbers are so good for any learner especially the hands on type. It is so easy to put a 5 and 3 and see that it's the same height as 8. We are actually already using these to help with subtraction. Also the puzzles are a great quiet time activity or an activity for the table at a resturant.

Awesome for math play!
These are wonderful for teaching numeracy, part part whole, more than two addends, compose/decompose, etc. I use them in my first grade classroom. The kids love them, and it's a fun, playful way to reinforce concepts in a real, concrete way. When added to routines that include ten frames, snap cubes, number balances, sensory bins, and whole body play, these really reinforce the concepts we teach in a way that lights up those brains and makes numbers less abstract and more FUN. Playing math is the best way to learn, and I'm so glad I found this resource. I'm gradually building a big "bin" of these, they're so useful.

Smaller than expected, but overall decent
The blocks are a bit smaller than I expected, like some other reviews have mentioned. I plan to use them in my small groups for math interventions in my first grade classroom. However, I would be cautious of purchasing these manipulatives if your child/students are likely to put them in their mouth as some of the blocks arrived with chipped paint (see #7). The blocks, for the most part, match up exactly with the sums when adding/comparing — the only minor misalignment I noticed was with 3 and 2+1 (as pictured). Another review mentioned that the 2 is a bit oddly shaped, which I would agree with. When the 5 is upside down it looks more like the digit 2 than the wooden block in this set does (pictured). While there are a few drawbacks to these items, they don’t necessarily take away from their educational value. The colors are vibrant and the different representations for each digit on the bottom of the blocks is a great addition! The cards also allow for a fun challenge when building with the number blocks. For the price of these blocks, I would have expected a little bit larger of a size, but they seem comparable to other sellers. I’m not sure that I will buy more as I had originally intended for my classroom, but that could change!

Much like SumBlox but smaller, color coordinated and extra numerical markings
I use this in my Kindergarten classroom. Students can show families of 10 with ease using this blocks. Any combinations that stack to be equal to the height of the 10 means they are a 10 family. There are additional numerical markings on the blocks to show now many dots/quantity there are. The kids love it!.
