It does exactly what it claims too. Got it to help me get up after surgery. I have even slept great in it. I would recommend this chair. Arrived early. Easy to put together. Great price.

Chair is nicely made and easily put together. Color was a nice dark brown that closely matched dark maroon upholstered furniture present. Operates as advertised, and does lie flat. However, a gap occurs between seat and back parts when in flat position that is uncomfortable over time (if sleeping, for example).Operational Caution: Since this is an "infinite positions" chair, each control button operates both independently and in conjunction with the others. This gives a lot of flexibility in positioning, but can also be confusing. In that context, a person with some level of mental confusion may have difficulty with the controls. Mobily challenged hubby, for example, did not realize at first that he was going to standing position, and wound up sliding out of the chair to the floor.Delivery: Chair boxes arrived on time, but were left at basement door (where there is a clearly displayed sign saying to deliver to front door), and moving two 75 lbs large boxes was cumbersome and difficult to manage. (This is not the seller's fault, but delivery was not well done.)

My husband helped me put this chair together. It's sturdy, comfortable, and wasn't as hard to assemble ourselves as I thought it would be. It does recline all the way back, has massage, and is not a rocking chair which is more sturdy and stable for an older person to get up and out of safely. It is well worth the cost!

*UPDATE* After 8 months - I reached back out to the company and I am glad I did. I had started getting a strange noise from the motor. This time, I got someone who wanted to identify the issues and help me. I sent photos and video of what was going on & the sections where you could see that the wood was sticking through the fabric/where there was no padding in place. I was told that the base to the chair would be replaced. I was advised that there would be a brief backorder until the base was in stock. As promised, the replacement base showed up at my home. I got someone to set up the replacement. They had a very hard time because the metal parts that attach the sections of the chair together were not lined up to where they would meet properly/fit together. After a while and some adjustments, the base is set up and it feels like a completely different chair. There is padding where it’s supposed to be, there are no strange noises, and I can finally sit comfortably (I just still wish that the footrest extended when raised, like my old chair before this one). I wish I could’ve spoken to someone who was willing to help me before, but at least I did end up getting help and I did get a chair that I can actually sit in without pain.* Update * After using for 5 months - This is the most uncomfortable chair I have ever owned, by far! The right arm of the chair leans out pretty far because of the way the hinges are placed and the way it assembles. It’s not supportive at all, at this point! The footrest has no cushion over the edges of the board that supports the footrest. You can feel the wood when you’re sitting with your legs up. In the back of the chair, the cushion is breaking down and you can feel the wood support in the back. The chair goes up and down just fine but what good is that when you can’t even sit in it because it’s so uncomfortable?Also, the seller contacted me, being argumentative, when I left my original comment. I do not recommend this chair for any reason!!!!!I did a lot of searching and measuring before ordering this chair, I thought it would be great.I received the chair and all the measurements are great except for the footrest. The footrest does not stretch out like all other recliners I have ever owned, it stops, mid-calf. So half of my calves and my feet have no support! They just hang off the end.The chair feels sturdy to sit in but there is a lot of give in the arms, back, and the footrest when you move or adjust.The surface is soft, the controls work well, the remotes control the position, heat, and massage which are great.At the end of the day, I may recommend this for someone who is 5’2” tall but if you don’t want your feet hangin off, out there, look elsewhere. This is an ok chair for occasional use. This is not for someone who has to sit most of the day, it’s not that comfortable. I can see that the padding will not last for years like I need.

The appearance is nice and the fabric is soft. The assembly was simple except for the amount of effort it took to get the pieces together. Tongue and groove attachments are fine unless they are attached to cushioned objects. The chair is comfortable except for the footrest. That is the only thing with minimal cushioning and after sitting in a reclined position for a while my legs start to get irritated from the hard surface. The massage is nice and soothing. The heat feature is not very effective though because I can't tell it's on.Update: feet hanging off footrest and I'm 5'3. One side of the backrest doesn't seem to be aligned right despite several checks to see if it's in right. The fabric on the foot rest bunches up just like in the pictures others show. The price was right for the quality. I wouldn't have bought it though if I had known.

♿My knee is injured and I can barely walk. So standing from a sitting position is painful and most "chair height"hurts even while sitting.💲This chair is awesome. Locally it would have cost a minimum of $400 more and taken 2-4 weeks to get here.This one was here in less than a week.⚠️Please be aware, it will come in 2 boxes, with 2 separate tracking numbers, but Amazon only shows 1 tracking number. So when your first box arrives and FedEx says "delivered" its just half and the other box will follow.⚠️Be CAREFUL their is a wire for the USB charger and it isn't mentioned in the instructions, or will get caught in the right arm and break.🌡️The warming function doesn't warm. It's supposed to be 104° so it is obvious it's not working.💆🏼‍♀️The massage works fine, they all seem like pretty much the same vibration.🛌🏼The chair can definitely lie flat for sleeping.↕️I really love the seperate headrest and foot rest reclining/raising options. I prefer to sit straight upright and can still raise my legs.💝 The fabric color (, gray) and feel is amazing!If you need 2, definitely buy them at the same time, you will save an additional $30!We didn't 🙈
