Great value, high performance cartridge pads
Bought 2 sets to replace the awful stock pads on my B'Twin Triban 520.Easy to fit, perhaps a little fiddly setting the pad angles so they are flat to the wheel rims instead of one end pinching too early.Performance is far better than the basic pads. These Clarks are quiet, smooth and effective. Braking modulation is good, making it easy to apply progressive force. No problems with them binding suddenly and being thrown over the handlebars!Nice looking white metal cartridges. Great value with a spare set of pads too.

Could Have Been Good, If...
...the tyre guide on the underside of one of the brake block holders hadn't been chipped! As with all these things, the customer ends up with a knackered item (when it should've been priced as a bin-end or substandard product) because the cost of returning it will (likely) be far too high to be economically viable. Here's the follow-up: I've changed the stars from 2 to 4 as these deserve wider adoption: superb value-for-money for brake pads which, I believe, are at least as good as the originals. Brake moderation is exemplary, stopping is good, no squeals, easy to fit and - on the replacement sets at least - the build quality was more-than-acceptable.Strongly recommended, so long as Clarks / Amazon get their quality control issues sorted.

Great stopping power at great price.
Good brakes are necessary on any bike, and at this price there is no excuse as they are slightly more expensive than generic brakes. Fantastic stopping power (some reviews argue too good as people have gone over handlebars) but they may have had poor brakes, or poorly adjusted so a slight change in riding profile maybe needed. I have Clark's brakes on my road and mounting bike and am unlikely to change. Some come with additional blocks to use once the original wear down which is nice as the holders are reusable, keeping the cost down when having to buy a new set. Makes changing them super quick too as held in with a grub screw. Well worth the price come rain or shine.

The pads last me a long time
The main issue i generally have with brake pads are that they just wear away very quickly after use. What i like about the Clarks brake pads are that i have found them to last a lot longer . In dry weather, i will be riding daily on clarks for about 2 months. It's important to note that i live in a very hilly city and so cycling down from uni results in me having to use brakes a lot as my uni is on the top of a 14% gradient hill.Obviously in wet weather, the duration of the break pads decrease but i have been seeing them last for about 3 - 4 weeks. The pads do last longer than that but i personally like to change them more often in wet weather to decrease the risk of an accident. These are a very good purchase for those looking at cheaper brake pads. They've lasted me a long time and as such i will definitely be buying these products again.

Single use brakes, NOT replaceable
Firm hard wearing brake pads with good stopping power in all conditions. I've ridden these over winter and totaled around 800 miles on them before they needed replacing (I also live in a very hilly area with plenty of steep descents). I'd expect they will last even longer during dry summer months.Update -Went to change these finally after 1000 miles. The small locking screw is made of such a soft metal any torque sheered out the hex head, making the blocks useless. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE BRAKES.Good performance in the wet and dry, also managed well in snow and ice.Overall very impressed and good value for money! Highly recommended these pads and the spare replacements make them a good value investment.

good pads crap delivery
brakes are as good as any other top flite ones such as dura ace but for a fraction of the price, i'd definately buy again, however the place i bought them from took 5 working days to receive them and on the invoice it says 'delivered within 48 hrs', so if you want them a few weeks away ok, if u want them for the upcoming weekends ride forget it.

Good stopping power but keep an eye on the wear
These are excellent value for money and do what they should.....stop you when needed! The only down side is they do wear quick so keep an eye on them. After previous problems with the grub screw that secures the pad in place its a good idea to take it out and put some grease in there when you install it. Either that or once a week just give it a slight unscrew and screw it back in again to keep it loose. Ordered the replacement inserts for out lasses winter bike. Stopping in wet and dry is reliable. A regular clean of braking surface and pads will also help prolong life. I recommend this product.
