Great product, helps me with projects and the light is bright so helps even if not using the magnifying glass.

I work in electronics which involves a lot of hand soldering of very small parts which seem to keep getting smaller and smaller while my eye sight keeps getting worse and worse, therefore I've depended on using a magnifier light for the past 30 years to do my work with the degree of accuracy required. My previous lamp was looking rather sad (the plastics were badly cracked and the lens was scratched) so I decided to buy this one, really it is far better then the really expensive ones you find from professional electronic suppliers non of which give you the option of adjusting the brightness or colour tone, also this one feels really sturdy, they also even give you a decent size lens cloth for cleaning the lens rather than some tiny cloth that's not fit for purpose (like the one that came with my last lamp which measured just 3x2in)! All in all highly recommended.

For the price, I think it does a very good job. It clamps firmly to the edge of the desk and moves freely in all the directions it suggests & remains balanced in any position. The magnification very good and the light is also good and easily adjustable - my only gripe is that it flickers initially when switched on but settles after a few seconds. I'm hoping that doesn't become a bigger issue in time. All in all, it's as described and works well, so I think it's good value.

I mean it works but the glass quality of the lens is not great. I think in hindsight I might have gone for something better lens wise.Overall though, it's reasonable value for money. I'll stick with it.Top tip though. If you are planning to put this at the edge of your desk you need to allow for a bit of room.

I bought this to help with my hand stitching as my old one finally died on me. Well, this one is ten times better. The magnification is superb and the light extremely bright which stops my eyes from becoming tired. It clamps to my work table by means of a g-clamp, which is far more secure than my previous lamp which had a peg-type arrangement. I am absolutely delighted with it. In fact I was so delighted I bought a second one for my husband.
