Saved my trolling motor...
I salvaged a bad Minncota 35# trolling motor with this switch. Take a picture before you take it out because it is a little finky to get back in. Motor works great on my 16ft john boat...

Will it work?
Honestly the more I worked on changing out the old Minn Kota Five Speed Switch the less I thought of the new one actually working. I was parts changing, after all....I never put a meter to the old one. Sooooo when I hooked up the Endura 30 to the old battery I could feel the motor straining. It had set up for a couple of years and I had been manually turning the blade to loosen up the works. Well, the blade moved. Then it stalled. So I kept running up and down the scale until finally....wah-lah!!!! Water outta the rock in the desert! The prop started whizzing on all speeds just as purty as you please! This from a completely dead unit, previous. Wow!!!! Hey....answer.... yep... it WORKED for me!!!!! Wow!!!!!

Fixed my trolling motor!
I was using my trolling motor on a Jon boat in a very weedy pond. Constantly getting weeds on the prop I would rip it into reverse then back into forward to clean it off. One time I did that, I lost all of my forward options. It would only go in reverse. I was able to switch my + & - leads on the battery and was able to use forward to get back to shore, but because I did that, I lost my reverse. (Only had one or the other depending on how the battery was connected)I took the trolling motor completely apart, even down to the motor & brushes. I visually inspected everything to find nothing out of the ordinary.I ordered this and installed it (very quick repair) and was able to get everything back! Now everything works as it should!In case anyone runs into a similar problem……this was the fix!

Saved my old electric motor
The older electric motor wasn't performing well. When in highest setting it didn't seem to have the same power. We concluded it was the switch and it was an easy change to remove the old one and place in this new one and the electric motor is working like new again!
