Pretty easy

I can't recommend this for a Vivoactive 3.
The battery I received was both longer than the original, and was too thick at one end (with the wires) to fit under the circuit board in the watch. The result was the circuit board would not seat properly and it would not contact the pins on the charge/data plug in the watch case. The watch would power up, but it could not be charged. After unwrapping the battery to access the wires and the tiny circuit board there, I was finally able to reorient them to make it thinner. It still did not fit properly under the watch circuit board, so I bent the contacts on the circuit board out so they would contact the plug in the case.I gave it 2 stars instead of one since the battery is holding a good charge, and it may fit other model watches.I would advise others to not purchase this for a Vivoactive 3 since mine did not fit the watch as received.

Not compatible with Vivoactive 4 watches. This is only for Vivoactive 3 watches.
If you install this in your Vivoactive 4 watch you'll quickly feel the PC board getting hot. That's because the polarity of the battery cable is opposite of Vivoactive 3 watches and there is no way to connect it properly. Unfortunately your watch is now destroyed.
