Q: Has anyone upgraded from the B593 to the E5186? If so how does the performance of the new device compare?

I have both, the B593s-22 that I bought in 2014 and use in my office in UK and the E5186 that I bought in 2016 and use in my office in France. Both are used to connect Netgear Arlo security cameras. Both work exceptionally well and whilst the B593 is 150mbps and the E5186 is 300mbps, I can't honestly say one is better or faster than the other. I bought the E5186 because I wanted a second unit and not as a replacement. The only differences that I can see are minor cosmetic changes and the size of the SIM card each takes.

Q: what external antennas work with this device, where are the antenna connections?

Hello, the antenna connection is on the back of the device, there is a rectangle plastic, just open it and connect antenna. But the device it has no antenna, If you need it, please purchase it extra, or tell us via E-mail when you order this product, we would send a pair of antennas for you.

Q: Does this convert 4g lte to wired lan

Yes there are 4 off RJ45 Ethernet sockets on the back of the device. You can just connect via an Ethernet cable (my E5186 was supplied with one cable). They are 1 gigabit Ethernet ports so should be fast enough. I always use Ethernet to connect my PC to the E5186 router.No configuration is required it is just plug and play. The router has some basic access filtering controls (black/white lists) but I haven't set any up. The Ethernet connections are handy if you are in a busy Wi-Fi area and are suffering interference or just want to stay low profile by switching the Wi-Fi off!
