Kitchenworks 2.5 Qt. Whistling Tea Kettle In Purple

I adore this purple kettle! It was a better price than I'd found other places and was a bit leary as to tge quality since the price was so good. Absolutely impressed. I've had it for awhile now. It still looks perfect and it gets LOTS of use. I also keep it out on my stove top because it's so pretty. It's one of those random objects that just makes me happy when I see it. I also think everyone that's ever been in my kitchen has loved it. I even bought a second one as a gift for one of the people that complimented it..

We are avid tea drinkers in my family. My parents recently renovated their kitchen in shades of purple and gray, and I knew I wanted a tea kettle that was in the same color palette. So I purchased this item as a Mother's Day gift, and my mother went absolutely bonkers for it! The color of the tea kettle is bright and vibrant. Even better, this particle model comes in many shades (green, blue, tan, you name it), so you can pick a tea kettle and enjoy to you heart's content.It took a few tried for this tea kettle to whistle, just keep that in mind. It does whistle now, but in the beginning, it took a while for it to make a sound.Other than that, this is a great tea kettle - it looks cute and it works perfectly!

We really like the looks, finish and quality of tea pot and my wife loves the purple color.Are only complaint is the fact is that it is designed with a raised bottom. On an electric range we found that it takes 3 times longer to boil water than any of our previous tea pots. Because we have an electric store we will be looking for a better tea pot.I would have to guess that it's design would work great with a gas stove though.

My kitchen is pale violet and this kettle is perfect! My old kettle (20 years +) sprang a leak. I ordered this kettle and it arrived very quickly. It's an excellent weight and thickness and wipes clean easily. Being stainless steel I find it takes a little longer to heat up than my old copper bottom kettle but that's okay. I thought at first the whistle didn't work but it does, I just needed to wait a few seconds more.

The purple color brightens my small kitchen and the kettle perfectly fits my electric stove burners. I was told my a neighbor that it should be emptied of water every night and that I should keep the top askew so it will dry out and not rust inside. Also, that I should keep the pouring spout open to help dry out the kettle. Is all that true? The sameneighbor told me that she received a bad burn on her hand from her same type of kettle. I am very careful when I pour water into my tea cup. Although it did cost more, I am glad I bought a kettle with a full handle.

I really liked this kettle when it arrived. The color is perfect(purple). However, after 1 month of use, it is rusting at the collar where the fill cover fits. I gently removed the rust once, but it has since returned. I asked for a replacement giving the benefit of the doubt that this is a defect specific to this kettle. I will see what happens to the new one.UPDATE: Second one rusted at the same spot, it is going back and I not purchasing from the manufacturer again.

This kettle is exactly the same as I had before. The old one I forgot it was on the stove and burned it. This replacement is beautiful. It does not rust and it’s a nice size tea kettle. Love It!

Very nice! Couldn’t believe how light it’s is. But I’m disappointed after three uses the kettle no Longer’s whistle and I have burnt my hand twice picking it up because it wasn’t whistling. And it got too hot. Which is a down fall big time. It’s too bad because it’s really nice. Not sure what to do. They are out of them... so cant exchange for a new one..
