Peace of mind
Though we have never been locked out of our Airstream, we've read many horror stories of people who have. This little device works great. Easy to install. Easy to use. And it works. It's worth a little peace of mind.

This is a Real Thing - Late Model Airstreams Will Lock You Out
Passed on this first time I saw it - thought it was either for old Airstreams or a gimmick. Then it happened, closed the door gently, pushing it into lock position and I heard the dreadful sound, cah-clunk. Locked out. By great acts of kindness, I just happened to have the keys on me. Bought this and went to the hardware store for multiple spare keys… just in case my new 23FB decided to kick me out again. This thing is well made and works very well, a must-have if you own an Airstream. Happy riveting adventures!

We bought this item because we were close to being locked out. Definitely a bad design for an airstream door. But the product works Great to keep the other lock in place. I would recommend getting one. Until they fix the door problem.

Cheap and flimsy
You get what you pay for. This anti lock out is very cheap and super flimsy. The magnet on the back is weak and doesn't hold the device in place where it's suppose to. I'm kind of thinking when you close the door it might prent you from getting back into the trailer if you lock the door because it falls off the screw where the magnet is suppose to hold it in place and when you lock the door it could block the shaft lever from unlocking the door
