Awesome!
I've tried every method of killing moles short of dynamite. These work awesome. The stay in place when activated unlike other styles. They are a little tricky to set, but they work.

Reliable trap, catches moles
Traps are effective. Need to follow instructions/videos. Be patient too. Might take a few days.1) find active holes, mounds and tunnels.2) dig 6” hole at above area with activity. Identify tunnel holes.3) place trap with dirt under lever and pincers at tunnel holes4) loosely cover trap with dirt. To block light cover with bucket or board.

Manufacturer Made The Product Less Effective: Proven
The media could not be loaded. This trap is listed as the same trap sold years ago, but it's not the same. I measured the spring strength, and it's roughly 22% weaker than the earlier design. If you live where the soil is heavy, you need all the spring strength you can get, especially if it rains after you set the trap. With less spring strength, it's more likely the trap won't close fast enough to catch the mole. I'm disappointed that the manufacturer reduced the effectiveness of the product and is making an effort to sell it as if it were still the same as the original product.

Success not always easy. All traps not the same
Contrary to rave reviews don't expect the same success. I have 6 missed moles in a row and that's after watching half a dozen videos and reading the instructions. Trapping is not something new to me either as I trapped muskrats, beaver and ground squirrels in Canada in my youth. My soil here is heavy clay loam and runs are not near the top of the ground which require me to do a bit of digging in hard ground. I bought the four pack which are advertised differently than some of the other selections that carry the number 0631. Perhaps those traps are different because while i waited for my order to show up I visited a local family store and found the same trap for $10.99 each. At $71 through Amazon I paid too much especially considering the difference in the traps. The one I bought locally had a heavy spring and I could not open the jaws with both hands without the use of the helper handles. When the 4 showed up, it was immediately apparent these were like a cheap knock off even though they were stamped exactly the same and the box was almost the same. I could open the jaws with one hand and set the trigger with the other. In the photo attached, the heavier one is at the bottom and one from the 4-pack is above. Note the difference in the spring which is almost twice as heavy. As to use, the weaker ones may not have the strength to close if dirt is in the way. I've had deplorable luck with them, even the heavy one because the moles encounter the jaws and then burrow underneath them by 4 inches setting off the trap from below but out of the way from the jaws. 6 misses so far and don't expect much better luck but do expect twice the damage to my yard with all of the new holes I've had to dig to expose runs. I could see where light sandy soil would be ideal for these but half the country has soil like I do. Very disappointing and I think I will put the 4 on a shelf and go buy 4 more of the better ones at half the price I paid for these. If you get anything out of this review it is that you can probably find them cheaper at a local store and if you do purchase them here, I would try the ones badged 0631. I won't waste my money on finding out if they are the heavier ones but you need to know there are better ones out there than the one's I got in this 4-pack

Best traps by far. The pros use these. 2 moles already!
Renee and I (Greg) moved to our country home last year on 2 acres. We fenced in a portion in the backyard for our dogs and I mow that area with a push mower and we do the rest with a lawn tractor. I take a lot of pride in keeping this area nice. About 3 weeks ago, the next day after I mowed I walked on to the deck to see 3 fresh big mole mounds. I was pissed to say the least. Now let me first say I am not an animal killer. I take no pride in killing anything and I don't hunt. Not that I think there's anything wrong with it, I just wasn't brought up in a hunting family. I love nature and animals but I wasn't going to let a few moles destroy our yard.Years earlier when I was renting a house. I would pay a guy $100 a mole to rid us of the little critters. He was cool and showed me his technique. Well now years later I am learning as well and I know these traps are what he used and they work! Here's a great Youtube video that also shows you how to set these: [...]I set up all 4 in the back and within a week I had my first mole. Then we saw some fresh mounds in the front as well, so I moved 2 of the traps out front. I goofed and forgot to take the safeties off the 2 in front and they both were tripped but empty. Also another mound in line with the other 2 in the front. So I went out back to get another trap and BINGO, I got another one in the back yard. So I set 3 traps our front today and made sure I took the safeties off. I have no doubt I'll have another within a day or two. These traps are simple to set and having the safety assures you that you can set them without getting hurt. Just remember to remove the safety latch before you cover them. I just used some old black round plastic planters we had left over to cover the hole.I don't do anything fancy. I dig out the hole, line up where the trap will set and dig it out. Set the trap and put the tub over it. I don't fill in any extra dirt or any of that. The trick is to put a mound in the middle, between the holes that just about touches the trigger. When the mole comes through and tries to plow through the little mound, SNAP!Don't waste your time on other more expensive traps. Get these and watch a few videos on Youtube and then practice. You'll be snagging those pesky moles in no time!

Great Mole traps!!
Heavy Duty, requires some physical effort to set. Watch your fingers, and keep pets and small children away.

Very strong springs
I have owned other victor mole traps. These have the strongest springs so far. Trapping moles is an art form that takes perseverance. These are only as good as the hunter.
