A great innovation and not that much more expensive than hiring one for the weekend. Build quality is not the best: check the alignment of the wheel arm where it pivots against the main upright otherwise the cable snags on the nut securing the handle to the wheel. It was useable for my limited needs though. As others have said the provided instructions are next to useless - bookmark this page and check out youtube. Also comes in 2 parcels via different couriers for some unknown reason, so bear that in mind when ordering. It's heavy (18kg) in the boxes. Be careful when releasing the brake and lowering - you need to wind up slightly before it will release.

Great piece of kit. Massive help for big boards. Easy to position and move around on your own. Assembly instructions a nightmare but worked it out after giving up trying to decipher!

The actual product is well-made and designed. Was well packaged in two hand able boxes. Unfortunately the instructions are not very clear so had to use the pictures to work out how it went together especially the cable lifting area.

The media could not be loaded. I e always had a worker to help put up these boards and even then it can be a struggle. This makes the job so easy. Once you’ve puzzled out how it goes together it’s really great value for money.

Used this to plasterboard a bedroom ceiling and I only wished I had brought one sooner . Easy to asemble and take apart and saved so much time with this and can easily be used by single person . Made easy work and no more struggling with 2.4 metre boards and having to ask someone for a helping hand . Excellent product at a good price

Instructions are the worst I think I’ve ever seen for a product, luckily being in the Trade I have used these lifters before so I knew basic how they are setup, but if you buy this as a D.I.Y person, then the instructions will have you pulling your hair out, e.g there’s no decor where or how to connect the cable ? Which is kind of a major thing as it doesn’t work unless connected!However putting the instructions to one side (or in the bin) the lifter dose the job it’s designed for 👍

A great tool for lifting plasterboard up to ceiling height and holding it in place whilst fixing it up there. A very cost effective way to enable a DIYer to do this job.

Not full assembled like the instructions, not sure how good this lifter will be!!
