The best $$ spent for a BT speaker hands down!
Coming from the usual UEBoom series (two in pair for stereo) that has extremely clean and flat out frequency response and a pair of iLoud micro monitors that is known for its precision vs size I have been positively surprise how well te MP230 lines up itself well to the speakers I have: with its flat out frequency response and dry bass, the MP230 has become my personal carry-around speaker.I've been listening with it everything from classical to moderne, vocal thru instrumental and my conclusion is it sound so lively, yet so precise without a tad of underwhelming or exageration anywhere. It's truely the best $$ I spent for a speaker. It would be more than perfect if Edifier makes it compatible to their app allowing two to be paired for stereo similar its bigger sibling D23...

Quality Sound and Long Lasting Battery
I bought this speaker for the mid-century modern display in our furniture showroom and it exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is superior to any other speaker and the battery lasted forever after a single charge. I love the super retro look as well. I’m buying one for myself.

Great Sound; Great Look!
Bluetooth speakers have evolved beyond tinny speakers. This one sounds great and is stylish.

Excellent sound quality and battery life
I'll admit that I like Edifier for their quality to value ratio, but this speaker really is incredible. Excellent bass, rich tones, and clean, beautiful design. Highly portable, as well, with excellent battery life. This thing lasts pretty much all day, and sounds good doing it.

Perfect as a simple desktop speaker!
Have been looking for a simple and small desktop speaker for my clam-shelled macbook, finally found the perfect one! Single USB cable, no auto shutoff (for an hour or so), sound quality is very good for this size, although I don't see the point of stereo sound with this size.Suggestion: remove the TF slot, add a button for Siri/Alexa which means add a mic.

Used Daily
I bought it for my office and I can't even crank this up past half volume without it rumbling my desk. The sound quality is quite nice and it has decent balancing which makes it great for using it all day. I charge it about once every three days, using it close to 8 hours a day. The buttons feel nice and tactile, while the build is solid. There are rubber feet on the bottom which keep it in place all day. Would definitely recommend this speaker for desk use.

Nice attractive "retro" look, sounds good as well
Let's start with the things that I like:- Appearance. I like the fact that it isn't completely plastic or rubber coated like 99% of the bluetooth speakers on the market. It is vinyl wrapped, but the vinyl wraps MDF. This should also give it slightly better acoustics, which it seems to. Has a nice retro look to it and it doesn't have any gimmicky LED lights that randomly flash at you. It fits into a decor pretty easily without being noticed, which I like.- Stereo sound. It has two drivers in it for a legit Left and Right Stereo channel. I verified this with a Right/Left sound test. Granted, the drivers are close together since this is a small-ish unit, but the stereo sound is appreciated vs. a lot of other units that went mono in this form factor (the majority of Bose and JBL now).- Operation is simple. Bluetooth paired easily and the buttons on the front are nice to push (rather than having to hunt for mostly illegible buttons covered in rubber like most bluetooth speakers). It reminds me of an old cassette deck, which is good.- 3.5mm input and SD card slot. Both are nice features that sadly a lot of speakers are phasing out. That means you can directly hook a tuner to it, record player (with phono preamp), CD player, PC, etc.- Packaged well and in an attractive box.On to the sound:It sounds good and certainly a lot better than most speakers under $50. In the $100 category, this one equals others that I have heard but does not necessarily eclipse them. It has a nice warm-ish tone to it and should not fatigue you if listening to it for extended periods. Bass is nice, but they advertise that the low-end response only goes down to 70Hz, which I agree with. It seems to have a slight boost in the 80-100Hz range, which is nice. For a speaker of this size that's about what I'd expect. If this were a larger form-factor it'd probably dig a little deeper, but for the size it does well. They advertise a class D amp @ up to 35WPC and it certainly sounds like it has some power behind the volume.I can't really find any major faults with it. It's only USB 5.0, but if you are using Spotify or Pandora this provides enough bandwidth for their HQ settings right now. On a little bluetooth speaker like this I doubt you'd notice a difference between a lossless file and a 320kbps mp3 anyways.Overall I like the speaker and if this fits your interior aesthetic it'd be a good one. While the sound is on-par with others in the price category the little touches like the MDF enclosure, rubber feet and the nice push buttons on the front make this a unique and interesting choice. I'm glad companies are making decent looking "home" bluetooth speakers rather than the typical waterproof rubber and plastic fare. Not everyone wants a speaker for a beach party.

Pleasant surprise.
It may be me but when I see a new shiny Bluetooth speaker I tend to buy them even though I already own several. Some become your favorites and others just kind of find their way into the drawer or closet. Luckily this one became a fast favorite. I really like the overall design of the speaker and it reminds me of the old vintage 40's and 50's radios. The tactile buttons are great and I love having this thing on my desk. I quite like the tactile buttons. Its nice to have play/pause and volume readily available. Overall the sounds is pretty damn good. Its slightly on the warm side and the bass is surprisingly good and it gets pretty loud. I also like that it has a micro SD card slot on the back along with a 3.5 aux jack so if you have other sources of music you can utilize those. Given its overall build quality and its features and sound I can highly recommend this little Bluetooth speaker. Looks great on a desk or a shelf for sure.
