Works well
For the price this is a good scope. I have had it a short time so can not comment on its durability. Directions are sparse, but it is simple to operate and was easy to figure it out. On the wire is a button. Long push toggles from front to side camera. Short push takes a picture. From the app you can also take pictures or video. Some comments complained about giving the app access to your photo library but the app for me did not even ask for access and instead stores them in your files (either on IPad/phone or in Icloud files). I did not see mention of this in the directions but the brightness of the light is controlled by a dial on the wire beside where the button is for toggling from front to side camera. When I first tried using it the picture quality was poor until I figured out how to adjust the brightness. After adjusting, the picture was great. For the cost you can’t beat this and I wish I had bought it long ago. There are numerous times in the past I could have used it. I have already used it to inspect my hot water heater chimney (which I suspected I needed to replace). I am also using it to help rewire a 100 year old house inspecting inside the walls. The wire is somewhat stiff but also flexible enough to use inside of plumbing and have several projects I plan to use it for. Very happy I purchased it.

Go ahead and take a look thru the little peep hole and see what's not available to the naked eye.
I ordered this for one reason only, I was going to look at a 18-year-old Jeep TJ Wrangler and wanted to see if there was any inside the frame rusting issues which is a major concern on these vehicles.I read a lot of reviews of how easy it was to use and set up, but being older I figured if anyone would have an issue doing so it would be me. And I was right, the instructions didn't make sense or click in my little brain as to how to get this mated up to my phone. But between google, YouTube and dumb luck I got everything working as it should. It offers a great view and features a light to brighten the dark confines that it may travel into. It also features different viewing angles allowing you to see forward, at a forward slightly side angle as well as a direct side view allowing to get a better look at the side surface of a materials lining. For what it's worth, I didn't end up going to look at the Jeep but did choose to keep the scope as I know at some point, I will need to either use for its intended purpose or simply a curiosity factor of wonder what's back there behind something or where did that screw just drop to down that vent opening. But then one reviewer did mention that he used his scope to look down the vents to his heating and ac system and was sorry he ever witnessed how dirty the duct work really was.All in all a great little tool/toy to have on hand.

Works, even without Google Play Services or internet connection
Good quality images. The side view camera is especially handy.First job I did with it was to explore the 2 inch conduit that I could not get a fishtape through. The camera verified the conduit was damaged and full of gravel. That photo made it easy to convince the general contractor that the problem was his, not mine.

Inexpensive way to see hard to reach places
I bought this to inspect engine pistons/cylinders after removing spark plugs. For my use case it was a little hard to position the camera through the spark plug sockets, but I don't think there were any better alternatives. The image was clear and the tool was still usable. If I had it to do over, I would buy this product again.

Decent camera for small spaces but hard to control the angle of your view.
For $26 on sale, it's fine for short distances, but we had two goals and neither were achievable with this. 1. View inside an AC duct that feels like the airflow is restricted (hoping to find a visible obstruction or opening in the duct between the room vent and the main duct it branches off of. Once you push this into the duct, you can't control what you see and it just shows a restricted angle, often pushing against one side of the path. I guess I can't blame them, for $26 I can't expect the camera to be "remote controlled" (so that you can control the view angle and position of the camera as it journeys through it's path.2. We had a clogged sink and wanted to view the clog before attempting to put a drain snake in there. Unfortunately the camera would not pass the second elbow (90 degree corner), which was no surprise because it was extremely difficult getting it past the first elbow. In hindsight, after I put the snake down the pipe I realized... HEY! I could have zip-tied the camera line to the snake (the snake is much more... rigid and flexible at the same time and (with effort) made it past the four turns needed to get to the clog... or maybe the clog was before all four corners... but now I'll never know! lol. Either way, the camera line is not rigid enough to make more than one sharp turn. not for me anyway.Probably better suited for areas you can manipulate the angle of it, shorter lengths (not the 16 feet it has) unless it's more of a straight path your pushing it through.
