Hyundai HYM430SP Self Propelled 139cc Petrol Lawn Mower

Great mower and feels sturdy, really great value for money only took 20 mins to assemble and started first time. One of the wheel trims did fall off on first go other than that really pleased !

I was pleasantly surprised with this machine. The quality was way superior to my expectations. It assembeled up in about ten minutes and once the oil and petrol were put in the machine fired up after a few pulls. It cut my heavy wet lawn with little effort. If you find anything to moan about on this machine you would have to be totally unrealistic in your expectations. Hyundai is a reputable company and unlikely to puttheir name on anything sub standard.Super quick delivery - six star in my books. For the money this is a super bargain!!!

The cut-height adjuster is useless, it doesn't work!Had to drill holes in it's side, to hold in place...It has hubcaps, 'great' but they fall off, then, get destroyed by it's blade - plastic bits everywhere.But it does (after above unnessesary work) cut grass, and some substantial weeds too.So far, easy to start.On the description above it states, 'will phone to arrange delivery.' ignore that, two days, it was delivered.

Appart from hubcaps that flip off when working close to bushes, and drive wheels that slip on wet grass, this was a good buy.The engine is powerfull enough to handle long grass, and the pick up of grass is exceptionally good. This leaves the soil exposed where before it would have been covered by thatch and dead grass.Overall, it was well worth the pricetag

This is a beautiful little machine and is exactly as the seller described. Was delivered upside down by the carrier (DPD) which may have cause the self propelled drive lever to become bent. This was remedied very quickly and without any fuss, after an email to the seller.It was so easy to assemble and tool free, must have taken all of ten minutes. There may be some small adjustments required but everything was just set perfect on my machine. I filled it with the required lubricant (which is also easy but needs a little patience for it to settle). I took the advise of Hyundai and purchased some Aspen 4 fuel which is extremely expensive at £20 a gallon (4.5 litres). I thought that if anything was wrong then it could not be my fault. However I shall be using regular unleaded for the rest of the season and use Aspen 4 for the final cut before putting it away for winter.I pumped the fuel primer 5 times as recommended, and pulled the starter cord. Started first time and purred like a kitten and started first pull on every occasion after that. I didn't have any problems with the height adjuster jumping out of it set height, and I tried several position. It was also on fairly uneven ground due to previous tenants not having mowed for sometime. The only small gripe I have is, as some others have mention the plastic drive wheels do have a tendancy to slip. A brilliant machine, I fully recommend it.

Be careful on your first use! The motor head module came off the base unit while running. It Happened on the 2nd use since purchase. The assembly is not good! I am not a mechanic and have requested refund and compensation for injury.

Having read reviews on lots of mowers I opted for the Hyundai HYM430SP and purchased via Amazon. Delivery was a problem - when ordering it was not made clear that they needed special permission to leave the mower with a neighbour or in a safe place, despite these being my standard Amazon options. So it took a few goes before I could actually get the mower. I agree with some of the other reviews that the instructions are pretty thin and you have to use instinct to get it set up.Biggest problem is that I have had to use string to tie the lever that adjusts the cutting height to hold it in place. It jumps out as soon as I move or start the mower. I have contacted Hyundai to ask if there is something that can be done. The rear wheels are also hopeless, the slip and slide on anything damp.The rest of the mower works OK, easy to start etc., but I definitely would not buy another one.

This is an excellent mower.It is powerful enough to tackle longer grass, but compact, light, and easy to manoeuvre.It is also an easy and excellent starter; so important with garden machinery.A point to note: the machine has had its oil drained after manufacturer's testing, and needs to be refilled with oil before use. Mine came with a bottle of oil in the box, so it was only a matter of minutes before it was up and running.
