This is a review for the Sven & Son Gel Memory Foam Pillow. I think it is a good pillow and it is not hot. It is firm but not hard. It will cushion you, but also easily bounce back to shape. I haven't noticed any indents, sagging, etc.. I am a side sleeper and I found this pillow to be a little too tall for me. My partner loves the pillow, so it's not the pillow, it's just personal preference. This is a great pillow if you like a very supportive, firm yet cushy pillow.

This comes well boxed and tightly shrink wrapped to put in its box. Once removed from the shrink wrap it fluffed up fairly quickly.The first thing I did after un-wrapping the pillow was to take the foam out of the cover and let them both sit outside for 3 days, so whatever vapors that were present would dissipate.The outer cover and foam itself look well done and feel nice in your hands. My good experience with this pillow ends there. I tried sleeping on it, and I guess I am just not a memory foam pillow person. I sleep on my side, and when laying on the pillow my head sunk in a little, but I found it to be way too firm. The pillow may be cool when you first lay your head on it, but it does not stay that way and heats up fairly quickly. Because of the firmness and heat, I had a really poor nights sleep.You may have a different experience, but this is my first and last try at using a memory foam pillow for sleeping. I have memory foam for sitting and as a foot rest and they are great. This pillow for sleeping, not so much, at least in my case.

I've been on the hunt for the perfect pillow for about a year now ever since my other pillow started to fail me, and it's been a journey y'all. I have neck and upper back pain because of poor posture and I'm seemingly always bent over something I'm working on.At first I wasn't sure if I liked this pillow, and thought I wouldn't be able to sleep comfortably because of how much firmer it is compared to what I'm used to, but after a few nights of sleeping just fine and feeling less and less pain in my neck, I decided that this is indeed an excellent pillow for me, and realized that I've probably been using the wrong type of pillow for years.When it comes to sleeping positions for me, I'm all over the place-- sides, back, and a wee bit of stomach sleeping (though not fully on my stomach) and this pillow was comfortable and supportive for me in all positions. This pillow offers excellent support but it still allows my head to sink in lower than my neck, so my spine is definitely more alined than it was with a couple of the other pillows I tried. To me, the memory foam seems to be great quality, and while it is quick to sink in, it is also relatively quick to go back to its original shape, so if I turn my head I won't sink into a dent from before, if that makes any sense.I can't attest to how cooling the memory foam actually is because it's pretty chilly where I live at the moment. I suppose I'll find out as the weathers get warmer if it makes my face and head hot/sweaty, but for now I am quite happy with how well this pillow is working for me.

The media could not be loaded. I have been getting stiff necks that last several days and decided to give a new pillow a try. I was skeptical when opening this because the foam is firmer than I expected. I typically gravitate toward super plush pillows and sleep with 2. I decided to keep an open mind and give it a try for at least a week. I. Love. It! Because of the thickness, I only use this one pillow. The pillow conforms to my head and shoulders and the firmness resulted in great support. I found the stiffness in my neck when I woke to be significantly reduced and I don't plan on going back to my other pillow setup.I like that the pillow has a washable cover and that it fits within my standard queen size pillow cases. The pillow comes in a small box and you need to give it a day to expand to full firmness, but there were no strange odors when I opened the vacuum sealed bag. The foam has all these little holes in it, which I can only assume promotes airflow and keeps the pillow cool while in use.I am a back sleeper, so this pillow is great. I have found that if I am lying on my side it does feel a bit foreign/thick compared to my older pillows. I really can't think of a complaint to list for this pillow. I have been pleasantly surprised at what a difference this support has made for my aches and pains while not impacting the quality of my sleep in any way.

I've had a foam pillow for over 5 years and it's been one of the best pillows I've used. Lately, though, it seems to be not as comfortable, so I decided to get a new one.At first, I was a little hesitant, as this new pillow didn't seem as firm and I was concerned it would collapse flat with my head on it. However, that wasn't the case. With my head resting on it, there was a lot of support and the pillow conformed my head. making it very comfortable!Slept on it all night and had no neck issues nor any other problems with it.Would I buy it again or recommend this to friend: Yes.

This pillow is a little more firm that I thought it would be, yet still very comfortable. I have spent a bunch of money on expensive pillows over the past year or so trying to find the perfect one and oddly this random pillow ends up beating all of them.The memory foam is indeed very responsive, so if you move your head around a lot when you sleep then this pillow is made for you! It rebounds quickly enough that changing positions is not something that will interrupt your sleep.Note: It REALLY did take about a full day or two before the pillow was fully decompressed. The first day it expanded a bunch and didn't look like much, but after a couple of days it is solid and fully decompressed.
