Guerrilla Painter 5x7 Pocket V 4.0 Pochade Box, Beige

I recently purchased a couple of pochade boxes, including the Guerrilla Painter 5x7. Its construction is far superior to the other brand I bought, which I'll have to baby, if I want it to last more than a couple of years. Not so Guerrilla, which true to its name seems like it's built to survive a war zone.In my picture, you can see I've tricked it out with a removable plexiglass palette, painted mid tone gray. This isn't only for better color mixing but also because I'm unusually fastidious for a painter and I like to keep my equipment nice. I've also replaced the visually obnoxious black knob on the side with a tasteful wingnut but I suspect I'll be switching back eventually, if the exposed screw tends to get caught on stuff.This box is great, it's beautiful, and perfect for those times you want to travel as light as possible. BUT! Think ahead about whether this tiny size is really what you're comfortable working with before purchasing. GP has a slightly larger one, but with a thumbhole (some people like that, some don't), and of course even larger ones in their line.Their boxes are attractive and solid and thus priced accordingly. They're expensive compared to the other brand. Be sure of your size needs before you use the box and can't return it.
