Very easy to operate

The one I got didn't work.
I returned it because, it didn't detect the leak at all at a known leak spot. (Not even at the highest sentitivity setting).It can be that the unit I received was defective but the statement of been able to detect 1oz per year (for now) is very doubtful.I give them 2 ☆s because of the construction, feel and accessories and because, I am been generous.

High sensitivity and easy to use
As an hvac technician for over 20 years, I highly recommend this leak detector. It comes packaged in a good quality plastic case, is easy to use, and its large screen allows me to see well in dimly lit hallways.It has a very short warm-up time, and when using it it's best to set it to maximum sensitivity first to get a roughly area of leak detection, and if the meter is fixed in the high detection position, reduce the sensitivity to lock in the leak area. Best of all, it also has a very long lasting battery that allows me to work on the go without worrying about the power of the unit.All in all, at this price point, I'm very happy with this detector.

Great upgrade , highly recommend
Rechargeable LD-200 Freon Leak Detector - we Upgraded from Elitech LD-200, and WJL-6000PRO.We don't do as much HVAC stuff as in the past to justify Fieldpiece DR58, Inficon 724-701-G or Yellow jackets. And this one is about 1/3 of the price DR58 price or 1/10s for Inficon.It works really well detecting All Halogenated Refrigerants: HFCs, HCFCs, CFCs, PFCs, HFOs, HCs. And it seems to detect the new A2L refrigerants. Love the UI and very user friendly. We tested this yesterday with Trane coil - LOL. [Found a leak exactly where it was expected]. Letting the manufacture - eat it. Repairing the evaporator coils - is a waste of time [unless the leak is very minor] and too much risk considering high current R410A prices. [Can post pictures detecting coil leaks]Overall (so far) leak detector is great and no issues. Thumbs up.[Checking with the vendor if heated diode replacements are available. ]
